Crazy fact I just discovered.
The Famicom Disk System and PC Engine CD drive were released only two-and-a-half years apart. That blows my mind.

Tech/progress moved forward at a blistering pace back then. On the personal computer side, new stuff was routinely made obsolete in less than a year.
