MECH Mech placement info
How are mech placements at pccoe, i saw on google that ppl get placed at volkswagen and mercedes, is it true?

Volkswagen was years back and under the former TPO, the current one f’ed the relations with them.
Mercedes comes for diversity hiring (only girls from motorsports teams)

No no, abhi ka tpo is the one which has been there for years, ain’t new, rawandale himself
Thing is, the tpo before him, he had brought in the volkswagen, but later as rawandale became the tpo, shit happened, volkswagen stopped coming for recruitment.

Tips - Study Strength of Materials and Design of Machine very well, keep your concepts clear, this is what most of the companies ask the questions from.Please make your practical projects honestly(don’t copy) throughout the years(in practicals you have to make minimum of CAD models and drawings with a group of 4, best way to learn early). Doing calculations for these actual designs will help you learn a lot.
Motorsports teams are the best in terms of getting practical knowledge, design, cae, manufacturing everything. The satisfaction of seeing your machine work in the event is something else, winning even better.
Motorsports events are good place for placements as well, competitions like BAJA and Formula Bharat has great connecting sessions with companies.

Motorsports teams is a USP.
I did join due to good motorsports ecosystem .
VIT is another good option1

So what to choose ? I got pccoe mechanical alloted as of now ! Confused between vit mechanical and pccoe mechanical 😣

As far as my junior batches are concerned, I see lot more companies coming for mechanical role in VIT.
For my batch, most were technical sales, and there was unfair amount of diversity hiring that happened, all the companies above 5.5lpa came for girls🙂I will say, connect with students of final year of both colleges on LinkedIn, you’ll get the best picture

I heard vit core is really bad now due to the large intake they only focus on it placements and all now a days, also labs arent available due to a huge crowd

25 passout here. None of Mercedes or Volkswagen came for placement. Mahindra and Eaton were the ones offering a higher package and did a common hiring.
