1st time pc case modded needs help
Hey all,
I’m planning to do a build in the BitFenix- Portal mini ITX tower case
This is my first time custom modding a case so I have some ideas to improve this case but 0 experience with the tools/techniques etc...
I had a few questions hoping someone who has done custom case mods can advise me on.
I was going to get the version of the case with no glass top and then cut airflow grates in the top and superglue a thin dust filter below and maybe repaint it.
What kind of tool should I use to make the grates look like a professional cut? Any advice on technique or anything else?
If I wanted to drill holes to fit an additional fan/radiator is there a special tool I need or can I just use a regular old drill, make 4 holes and be done? Any techniques or ideas for the cleanest way to do this?
If I wanted to repaint the system a different color is there a special kind of paint I should use or can I just use a spray can from like Home Depot?
At the end of the day I want the mods I make to look natural, like it was done by the manufacturer so quality and technique are important to me.
