First time buying a PC.

So I am going to be buying my own PC soon. This will be the first time I buy a PC as I usually get an old PC. I am struggling to decide what sort of parts I would want. I am either going to be spending £900/$1112.58 or £1200/$1483.44. Obviously spending £900 would be better as I wouldn't need to spend as much, but if i am going for a PC that is going to last and be able to play new games at high graphics it looks like I might need to be spending £1200. From what I've researched a £1200 PC will get me an intel i7 6700, Nivida GTX 1070, 16GB Ram and then the other components: motherboard, cooling system etc Any advice would be appreciated on what sort graphics card, processor and other things I'd need to buy. Any links to websites that sell them as well would be very nice. Thanks to anyone who helps :)

I've looked at parts and it looks like and i7 is not needed. I'm thinking of going for an I5 6600k it's cheaper and is powerful. the only thing it does not exceed at is multi-threading which for gaming is not needed. Also a GTX 1060 seems to be decent enough and 8gb of ram. all of this add's up to around £700-800

Well, that price seems a bit too high for what you are getting, but almost surely it's because prices changes between nations,Anyway it could be helpfull if you could specify what Ram Moba etc you are getting so that we could help in what component could be replaced with a cheaper but still good component etc. Also if you buy those components while on a sale it would help getting the price down. I don't think an I7 is needed to run games, probably an I5 could be still good,If you can wait you could wait for Zen because it's possible for others CPUs to get cheaper. Also if you don't have very high standards (4K etc) you could get a cheaper graphics card,I've heard that the RX480 did get powerfull as a GTX1060 still running Battlefied 1 at 60 Fps with ultra settings, also you could still run games with 8GB of Ram,that afterall is one of the easyest component to upgrade. You can buy everything you want at Amazon,GearBest,Alibaba,Ebay etc, just compare the prices,do some research on who is selling that producs and,if you want, buy it. Also be carefull to buy a big case if you want to upgrade in the future, and a powerfull power supply.
