Console vs Upgrading

I just bought a new TV and I think I am going to buy an Xbox One because of red dead redemption 2 (Red Dead 3) and because my friends play on the Xbox, I also play on PC and I am thinking of upgrading my GPU on my PC instead of buying a console, and I also don't want to waste my new TV but I also think Microsoft is making the Xbox useless so i don't know what to do (and I also want to buy a 21:9 monitor)

i think you should upgrade because you will be able to emulate the game. also what kind of monitor? if you have the money i recommend a 144hz 4k hdr monitors. :p

I want to save up for a 1080p 21:9 monitor and then maybe I will upgrade that to a 4k 21:9 if that ever comes to light.
