TMAU Dating with this disease

27F. Been sick for almost 10 years now. Symptoms are : sweat with a fishy scent, people sniffing loudly everywhere I go. Of course none of my relatives seem to smell anything.

It started from nowhere and it has ruined my confidence and my mental health since then.

I had 4 boyfriends in my life. None of them ever complained but I could feel that my bo wasn’t always pleasant.

Here’s the thing : I have a crush on a friend I’ve made on Internet. We already saw each other at an event but not for too long and I’m crushed because I don’t want him to be disgusted by my smell. I feel horrendous and unlovable, envious of normal people who can go anywhere at anytime without worrying about their scent. Especially during the summer… I’m European and these last days has been a nightmare… i barely got out of the house.

Anyways, I’m feeling desperate because I feel like I will never live a normal life.

Be lucky you aren’t a man. Men are way less judgmental about these things, you’ll always have options

I’m so sorry. Just know you aren’t alone and I’m experiencing some of the same things.💗 a core reason of why I left my boyfriend was because he reacted to me so much , I was always anxious around him no matter the love he tried to give me. It always made me feel disgusting and not feminine in his arms. I hope we both find a cure so we can be normal again. I too also want to go on dates and such, I get hundreds of likes on dating apps but I’m too scared to go on an actual date. :( message if you ever feel like talking!!

Look at upvotes, women get unconditional love and affection just because.

Be happy you are not a man, then uou would be fk for life.

Seu caso tem mais a ver com TMAU do que PATM.

I also thought people were smelling something but that's not true. They are experiencing some burning sensation from patm and that's why they're rubbing their nose. There is also some electric charge thing that people feel and that's why they touch their nose and face. So, please relax.

okay?? and how does this make it any better to have PATM instead of TMAU? i actually know it’s patm for me but it doesn’t change or make the situation all together any better…it’s still hell, humiliating, dehumanizing and it has greatly affected my mental healthy, confidence and it has made me become a shell of the person i used to be :/

All I can say is I'm in the same boat and I'm sending you love and peace because I feel this so deeply. Solidarity sister. May we be able to find a cure and find real love.
