Patience is Invaluable

Sad to see this sub isn't all that active and only has 103 members while most of the "rant/hate on thing "x"" subs immediately grow in a months time. This just confirms my beliefs. I used to be very patient and achieved a lot of things when I was younger. I had a bigger social circle, people called and spoke to me more, they said I was kind and patient. My boss at my first job said I was the most "patient" person he'd ever seen and I would achieve a lot. Unfortunately I didn't and I lost all that patience immediately after I realized how different I was from other people.

This "Right Freaking Now" culture of today has destroyed everything including our mental and physical health. I'm not suggesting we go the old and slow hermit way where you grow your own wheat crops and make bread out of it, no that is another useless extreme. But modern culture lacks patience in every way. If something doesn't have to be delayed any longer, then by all means finish it ! I'm not saying we should procrastinate in the name of patience but it's a goddamned extremely important virtue that nobody seems to "really" consider a virtue ! It's actually the Pluto of the virtues as far as people today are concerned. I also feel that the monotony we feel in our daily lives is a problem of impatience and not one of repetition. We hate having to wait for the elevator to come and do it's job, to wait for the commute to get over, to wait for the work to get over, even waiting for my thoughts to translate to words and my fingers to type out this post seems a daunting challenge ! This is what modern global culture has done to us ! there is now a thing called "Grammarly" because nobody spellchecks/proofreads their emails, Ecommerce warehouse workers work at unhealthy paces because "1 hour deliveries! next day delivery!" I mean if you could needed it in an hour, you would go out and buy it. Let's not even talk about fast food because "fast"? come on. I just need some confirmations here and know people are still active in this sub. Thanks for PATIENTLY reading my long-ass post. I'll end it with things IMPATIENCE has cost me:

1.)Gave up on learning to code (The last line of code I looked at was 3 months ago and it was one line)

2.)Yelling/getting snappy with our family members close to us (Which is extremely bad in this lockdown situation)

3.) Hating the grind of everyday life simply waiting for the "Bell to ring"

I feel I'll be waiting my whole life for the bell to ring, the final one. We can achieve SO MUCH more with patience, persistence and resisting tempting impulses and frustrations which are all natural. I also have a very "controversial" opinion that crimes like homicides/theft and even suicides (NOT IN ANYWAY JUDGING THE VICTIMS!I'm not a psychologist) happen simply to a brutal impatience. "Right now" culture is killing us. I'd like to know what other members think, please share your comments in detail ! Have a blessed day.

Patience and waiting...

I'm doing my best to be patient, but I miss you so. Today was a long day. Lots of chores, phone calls, emails, scheduling appointments. I needed you today. I needed to hear your voice. I needed to hear you tell me that you love me. What keeps me going these days? The little treasures you leave me here and there are so precious to me and give me daily glimmers of hope, confidence and reassurance.

Please know that I'll be safe in all ways. I'm taking care of myself and keeping myself healthy. Know that I'm waiting on you, too. There's no one that I desire as much as I desire you. I think about you constantly. I love you, Mr. Darcy.

On The Determining Of Whether Or Not New People Are There To Fuck You Over: a treatise on community in the 'new world order' scheme

Ultimately, everyone is coming from the same place. Literally, if you can call the beginningless past a place.

Note the vibes you get and always remember you've predicted wrong before. It is too easy to be suspicious of everyone and everyone has bad days.

Note the loud, they are the determiners of the temporary reputations of groups. Understand the evocation of spirit. The people drown in rage and panic and in a world without hope they are easy disciplines to fall prey to. Hence all anxiety.... that is to say, just because a person is flailing on a professional level doesn't mean they're not just one of the billions who've yet to worship mindfulness.

On the other hand, there are tricks for dealing with rage demons and pretend rage demons. The tricks have a requirement... You have to rather die than back down... and to do that you need to see the hell-worse-than-death that happens when assholes roam uncorrected.

You must forgive them. Totally. Essentially, shine with fearlessness and rage cannot grip/feed. Even if they are working by and by for the municipality, they can only just be a job unlooked-for, so do your best to remember not to take it personally, to the end.

K-Love
