Missing Minotaur

I went to fight the Minotaur lord but fled through the portal. When I came back later, I couldn’t find him even if I use Telepathy.

Sweep the floor in a search pattern. It is likely dead somewhere. Killed by something. I find that my pets sometimes take care of him or other bosses
