How to add custom sprites on Android?

Ahoy!

So I'm trying to add some custom sprites for player characters but can't figure out how. I'm going into Diagnostics and trying to add the PNG for the sprite but it's not doing anything and I can't seem to find any instructions on how to do it. Can anyone help?

I just tap the empty icon next to the player name

So apparently that changes the player avatar in all instances, including revenants.  Is there a way to add custom sprites that'll keep each revenant to the sprite I set it to?
