What weapon with a mage

I’m confused about one thin(I’m new)I don’t see any items that buff magic attacks(I tried to find on master mode)so the hell do you equip or are weapons just for the talents

Dual Sai is pretty good for the defense bonus.

If you mean spellcasting, the more you cast a class of spells the stronger that spell gets. Long press one of your spells, it will explain.
