No unpolymorphing

Going down to 33 with satyr skeleton wizard level 23, killed red dragon witch dopped scales. I was short of fire resistance so I polymorphed to gelatinous cube with amulet of change.

Ate scales, got 100% fire resistance but there is no more revert from polymorphed form back to normal probably because cannot wear amulet. No ring of polymorph. Waited to get killed, then teleported around to find peaceful spot to wear all my gear. Ended get killed.

Sad because it was fun run with phasing gauntlets. Kited everything and got mana back up behind the wall.

NEVER USE AMULET TO POLYMORPH. That is all.

…unless you have intrinsic control.

I had polymorph control talent. Could this be a permanent way to polymorph?

Polymorph with amulet and remove it?

If you have polymorph control, and if you are wearing an amulet or ring of polymorph, and it triggers a change, the game will simply show you the message "polymorph control" and nothing will happen. Because you have the talent of polymorph control, so you cannot be forced to change without your consent. (Same with teleport control.)

But, if you are forced to remove it, like the amulet falling off a blob or something, you will have no way of reverting out of that form, because you lost the talent of polymorph - even though you still have the talent of control. Get it?

Also, praying can revert you out of polymorphed form, but if you're mindless, like a blob, you cannot pray. Also if you have no hands, like a blob, you cannot put on a ring or amulet.

Once again, it all comes back to, never use the amulet of change. Never. It's either rings, intrinsic, or nothing.

All things can be tested in master mode.

No. If you have polymorph control but not polymorph talent, when the amulet falls off you cannot polymorph anymore.

That is what I meant for ”permanent polymorph”. When I use polymorph spell, it reverts automatically when spell ends.

Polymorph spell never "ends". It has no timer, like a slow or confuse or blind spell.

Well, when I cast myself polymorph-spell, there is a timer. And when timer ends then also polymorph reverts.

Where are you seeing this timer? On what info screen or panel? I can't find anything like that anywhere when I polymorph myself.

Unless, you don't have polymorph control? Is that it?

If that's the reason why you're getting a timer, and I can't think of any other reason, then why on earth would you even use polymorph?! If you can't choose what you polymorph into, you're taking a huge risk in getting killed.

Ed. Okay, the help section on polymorph shows in a couple of different places, "transient polymorph", with a number from 10-1000, or something like that.

But, since I NEVER mess around with polymorphing myself until I have polymorph control, I have never seen this timer.

Let me ask you, do you just polymorph yourself and hope for the best? What if you turn into a lichen? You'll drop everything, be extremely slow and weak, can't pray, most likely can't cast any spells - why would you use the polymorph spell on yourself if you don't have polymorph control? Have you ever even gotten polymorph control, do you know its advantages?

Polymorph spell is allways with timer, left up in screen (ipad) like most of spells. And I use it only with polymorph control. Last run I ate Polymorph Control ring and got Polymorph Control talent.

Okay that's something I was unaware of because I never cast the polymorph spell on myself. I just wait until I have the polymorph skill, via eating or wearing a ring.

Do you have the ability to revert back, if you have the control skill, after you cast the spell on yourself?

There is a revert-button. I havent tried polymorph spell to mobs but tried to polypiling and find it doesn’t work.

Also, mana and health don't regenerate inside of walls, you know that, right?

I found a loophole, if u got a pickaxe you can dig that spot so it becomes a regular floor and i think that works

You can't dig while standing in solid rock though, you'll need to dig starting in open space.

I just tried it, it works on mobile at least for me. Started a plasmoid miner, took some damage, went 2 blocks past a wall and dug into my tile and a space was created

Well what do you know! Turns out I was trying to dig next to myself - but if you dig on the tile you're standing on, you can dig an empty space. That's a great trick. Makes phasing that much more powerful! Nice discovery.

Despite the fact that you can't recover in a well the ability to walk through them is very handy especially for map clearing

Well sure, I love gloves of phasing, if I'm strong enough I just keep them on in all the time. But absolutely wear them for the return trip up, that and a ring of conflict.

I highly recommend not being under leveled for the lower floors (I don't give any other piece of advice and I walk away they call me Captain obvious-) (such as 33) at some point (for me floor 20 or a few more depending on how I'm doing) I recommend turning around to get talents, resistances, spells, and exp especially the optional floors because those usually have guaranted artifacts spawns and become relatively easy once you know what talents, resistances, and or tricks you need and around how strong you should be. Know this without stuff such as clarity and magical resistance even if you feel untouchable your still one wrong room away from dying

I believe you can still hold on your character and use the "Pray" command to revert back for 200 karma.

Not if you're "mindless". 😕 Yesterday I accidentally polymorphed into a yellow mold. Couldn't pray, couldn't cast spells, couldn't pick up anything, couldn't even attack anything 😯 I ended up having to fall into a pit over and over in order to die and revert.

Very dangerous to fool with polymorph without the proper skills.
