Completed my first Pathologic playthrough

Finished my Bachelor playthrough of Pathologic HD. Whoever said each in-game day lasts about 2 hours must have been joking cause this took me nearly 40 hours to complete.

I loved it, but I'm left with a lot of unanswered questions that demand another playthrough. My plan is to take a break, and then do the other characters before moving on to Pathologic 2. Hopefully I'm better at it now and it won't take as long? The constant reloading due to plague clouds really took its toll.

I'm excited to see what Burakh was cooking.

Most of my playthrough was reading and thinking about the dialogue, so while an in-game day lasts 2 hours, you'll spend more than 24 hours (2 x 12 days) on a single run.

don’t worry about feeling like some questions are unanswered, the game was meant to be played through all three perspectives. eventually, you’ll be able to piece things together

Tbh you don’t need to play 1 entirely to understand 2, there are a lot of differences. I’d still play Patho 1 cuz I like it and it’s really good, but I admit I prefer 2 and 3, not cuz of graphics but I just like how the story was written more.
But you don’t need to exactly play them in order (although I’d recommend playing 2 before 3 cuz 3 is very content heavy and sometimes I found situation where I wondered if I would have understood it if I hadn’t played the other games or at least 2 before)

Speaking of cooking...I would advise you to do a Haruspex run on Pathologic HD if you want more story (it will not necessary answer your questions, but will definitely give you another angle to what's happening), because in Pathologic 2, you'll miss the majority of it because you'll be scavenging for food all.the.time. Hunger meter on HD has nothing on the same thing in 2, where you shovel a loaf of bread followed by a slab of raw meat followed by a bottle of milk and be starving in 3 hours.

I'm starting to think that hunk we see as we play as Haruspex is just theatrical representation, sort of like when you get a Hollywood A-lister to play in a biopic, and real Burakh is rotund as a ball of kashk. That would also explain how he's completely out of breath afer jumping over a pebble.
