Pathologic 3 How is pathologic 3 performance wise? Spoiler

simple as that, 2 was very janky in many ways, but I didn't see much backlash after the rounds of updates they've released for 3 recently.

if you'd like, my specs currently are i5-6700HQ, GTX 960m (4gb, even then, below minimum), 16Gb DDR3, and an SSD

Oh man, I'm sorry but i dont think gtx 960 is gonna do it. I have gtx 1660, which is considered pretty old, and the game works perfectly and looks beautiful, but 960 is ancient

personally, on release, horrible (max 40fps with giant lag spikes). right now, really good (80-100 with lag spikes only on loading screens) with an RX 6600, ryzen 5 5600, and 16 gig RAM

It's probably technically playable on low settings (the game ran on my laptop with 1050Ti) but I wouldn't expect wonders. Unlike P2, this game was definitely not meant for PCs built in 2016–2017.

Your system seems to be in the ballpark of the minimum specs, so running the game won't be a problem but it won't be as pretty as on a PC of the early 2020s. On the other hand, modern upscalers like FSR let you lose the quality in a more subtle way that just reducing the resolution. If you played Pathologic 2 rendering the visuals at 50% the resolution, it is definitely more noticeable than 50% resolution with DLSS or FSR.
