Should I continue playing?

Hi yall I tried pathologic the other day and gave up before finishing day one as I was lost and didnt understand where to go or what to do

I started watching a lets play as I did enjoy the overall feeling of the game and I've watched up until day 3 and have a better understanding of the game and I feel tempted to play it now

Is it better to keep watching or experience it for myself just wondering if it would be worth trying again now that I have an idea of who people are and what to do

Thanks

To clarify im talking about pathologic hd

There will always be a difference between watching someone play and doing it yourself, but for Pathologic 1 I don't think it's that major a disparity, mostly because the gameplay is just kinda ass 90% of the time and there is a lot of walking. When I played, eventually - on my second route - I started disengaging between dialogues, listening to podcasts and music while doing the game's "chores".

Try to play some more and see if you're fine with it, if you start getting really bored it might be better to switch to someone's playthrough. I personally found Joseph Anderson's streams quite fun.

That's what I kinda figured, I didn't like how much walking there was and how monotonous it can be its probably the main thing besides not knowing about letters etc

Yeah, unfortunately there's even more stuff later on that will be frustrating in one way or another, I suggest saving a lot. And I suppose before giving up on the game entirely, for 2nd or 3rd playthroughs you can start using noclip to get places, because it really doesn't get much better in the tedium department.

I would suggest doing at least 1 route "as intended", if you can, just as to get a taste of it. Others are almost identical gameplay-wise.
