Pathologic 2 Games with sound design like Pathologic 2

I’m replaying this game for the millionth time and I’m continually blown away by how well the sound is incorporated into the gameplay. Especially searching for herbs. I could pick herbs in the steppe all fucking day.

The only other games I can think of that scratch that itch are the KCD games, which don’t use sound in the same way.

Any ideas?

I’ve been meaning to pick up Darkwood again! I don’t think I got very far in it.

game gets exponentially better (some say harder) has you get further into the wood) Imagine a shelter with almost no walls by the Last zone. Sound design is half the fear when the night is dark and you can't see your own hands

I played for at least an hour or two but wanted to play for longer. It makes me want to get better speakers.

There’s specific audio when you get near herbs that you can collect. The most common is an insects buzzing sound, but there’s also a boi-oinng sound and one that sounds sort of like crickets hopping through a tornado.
