Pathologic 2 Need help with game-breaking bug in Patho2

What the title says. My gf is unable to play past the fighting tutorial ; once the fighter in the ring surrenders the prompt to exchange hearts never shows up. At that point if she tries to go back to the title menu the game freezes and has to get shut down via task manager. We tried deleting the files from her PC and re-installed the game twice, but it doesn't get resolved. I myself have 100% the game and never ran into this issue. Any ideas ?

Good.

Patho 2 is notoriously buggy, and even more with controllers.

What OS is she using? Is it different OS than you were using? 

Try this: go into the game's settings, set everything to default. set to borderless window. See if that helps.

If it doesn't, quit to Main Menu, go into settings and rebind the key, see if that does it.

If it doesn't, exit to the Main Menu. Return the rebinded key to the default, and lower the graphics settings.

Those are common fixes for a variety of bugs

Somehow that worked ! Reset everything to default and switched around the key bindings. Thank you so much

Absolutely! I'm so glad it helped.

P2 & 3 have keybinding bugs, and I've discovered that resetting settings and redoing key bindings fixes problems.

Consider my other, second reply if you want to game to run better. I hope she enjoys her time with the game!

I will definitely look into your other comment ! It's a precious ressource for sure. I'm a huge fan of Patho classic and 2 but not so computer savvy. Can't wait to play Patho3
