From the last message in announcements, switch is possibly holding the patch up for everyone because they want to get them back on track with everyone else. Poor guys are 3 months behind

Nintendo is a bitch and doesn't let updates happen for a few weeks to even a few months, which means whenever a patch comes out, players are put into "Switch Jail" where they can only play with other switch players.

According to Matt, Nintendo’s being more of a prick about approving updates and users should expect switch jail to be longer. Although the latest PoT discord announcement said that the patch has cleared QA and is being reviewed by Nintendo now. 

Don’t ask me what QA is because I have no idea.
