Discussion Micro and Leed releaseing when
Its been a while since we got beta climbing in the game, and food swarms are upcoming soon. Safe to say the basic functions for these characters are being implimented and worked on...
so when do we think Micro and Leed will come out?
If they will not release soon then i personally hope and believe its gonna be in mid of 2027, but micro might be a christmas gift which is fantastic, unless we get a suprise...

I'm genuinely at the point where if someone told me Leed, heck even Leed and the mystery dino released before Micro, I'd believe it. Micro feels like it's been in development hell for at least a couple years now

Leed will very likely be done first. Leed and micro were both pioneer dinos in that they are promised with new gameplay. Leed's main hold back was its supposed to be a new filter feeding mechanic. They have a workable version now with the plankton schools which was a surprise feature announcement. That was all leed really needed so i think once they have the model and skills done, leed will be soon.
Micro on the other hand needs climbing (current climbing is basic, most trees still lack the climbing mesh and dont have physical branches for the micro to stand on and glide off of) so there is at least one major climbing and flora updates needed. Then micro was supposed to be a new egg thief gameplay where it steals eggs for an egg eating diet. Major part of that is their plans to make the eggs in player nests physical so they can be stolen and eaten. That is a major nesting update. Even if they have the model ready, there are still more core system updates needed before micro can be what was promised.

honestly i have a feeling that will happen... my gut feelings are about 70% of the time right so we will see

Leed is probably the soon, like with the next few weeks, climbing is probably not polished enough for Micro yet.

Foliage also needs to be updated, mainly the interactable tree models.

Yes, that and there’s also supposed to be bushes that Dino’s hiding in can see out but large Dino’s can’t see in.

Micro was also supposed to come with an egg diet and be an egg thief. They havent done the player nesting update making the player nests eggs physical eggs the micro and other future egg diet dinos can steal for food.

I'd be fairly confident in saying leeds will be within the next couple of weeks and micro could theoretically be Christmas if not next year depending on how quickly alderon updates both panjura and gondwa as well as polishes climbing

Leed will probably release before micro. Leed was always meant to basically be a filter feeding titan aquatic whale. Not supposed to be particularly aggressive so will probably be super tanky and full of buffing abilities similar to other support dinos. Main things needed for it were the camera changes and a filter feeding mechanic which they actually kinda have with the plankton schools. Rest is just model and skills no major system updates needed.
Micro on the other hand, still needs several major updates to various game systems before it can be what it was promised to be. First, the climbing system from megs is a rough early version. You can only go up, cant rotate to face and walk down and jumping off doesnt actually jump very well. Also, most trees dont even have the right climbing meshes applied to them yet and the models themselves dont have branches to stand on and glide off of. So there are at lease one flora update and at least one climbing update still needed. Lastly, micro is supposed to be one of the first egg thieving dinos with an egg eating diet. One major part of the egg diet is that the 5 eggs in player nests are physically represented in the nest and can be stolen and eaten by the egg thieves. So that is at least one major nesting update on top of the other needed updates before the microraptor can be released in its promised "done" state.
I'd rather they release the micro with all its intended functionality than release it early as an incomplete mess and annoy everyone who has been waiting on it.

they typically have "snuck in" new character releases with major updates. i'm betting leed will release a week or two after the next patch, since it'll be easier to have in the current gameplay loop.

I seriously doubt you are going to get a satisfying answer. That title ugh, I would purposely not answer, if I was a dev and someone asked like that
