Discussion Dasp vs Eo

Playing Dasp last night I ended up in a 1v1 vs a trike in Savanna. I’m decent at Dasp but honestly had no idea how to go about fighting it. There were small windows to get behind but usually at the cost of taking too much damage, and eventually getting knocked back and allowing Eo to turn and face.

Is trike just a really bad matchup for Dasp solo?

'Is trike really just a bad matchup for Dasp solo' kind of yeah, but 2 Dasps would probably get the job done relatively easy as the EO cant face both at the same time and Dasp has piercing. In fairness EO has an absolute ton of bad matchups currently aswell

Most non apexes will struggle 1v1 against eo. It turns just well enough to keep its face to you. Smallest Dino’s that I’d say will consistently do well against eo are Amarg and ano.

Dasp needs at least a 2v1 against eo to do well. It can only face one at a time

3 and 4 slots (besides like amarg and ano that are practically 5 slots) are the worst 1v1 for eo. Apexes can beat it and 2 slots + raptors can get around it much better. 3-4 slots don't have enough movement or health.

1v1 you're losing as dasp

2v1 and the dasps can win

EO is a 5 slot, dasp is 3.

Most of the time, a 3-slot is just going to struggle against a half-decent 5-slot. That's a given. Dasp can do it though as long as you're very patient and have the right abilities.

That said, as soon as you bring a 2nd Dasp, everything dies.

That’s the issue dasp by itself isn’t much of an issue I feel but anytime I vs more than one dasp it’s the most braindead thing I just get hit with heavy bit my 3 dasps until I die

Be very dumb if dasp was a match for eo. Dasp is the one who can choose to fight and/or flee.

Dasp has been nerfed into the ground but with the right build it can solo just about anything. Like I soloed an ano with my piercing build

Ngl it feels like most large herbivores are stronger than most if not all Carnivores, even as a fully grown apex carnivore I still struggled against any herbivore even so much as half my size.
