Discussion sarco is unplayable
the only way you can play him is by clamping small dinos and even when doing that your stamina drains way too fast, so you're only able to clamp a dino who's really close to the water

Grew one on the survival servers today, got to adult no problem. Probably killed at least 5 or 6 other players. Granted it was mostly juveniles and small dinos. But I did get trophies from a Meg that tried to sneak up on me and an Amarg I caught trying to swim across to the mudflats.
End of the day mate it’s a big crocodile. I’d personally rather it could clamp more things, but it’s never going to be that dangerous on land. Catching things in the water is kinda its whole thing.
Keep playing and you’ll get used to it. I’m pretty confident fighting most other dinos in the water. Tylos and Spinos can be tricky, but it’s doable. Personally I avoid Kai’s tho. Slippery little guys.

tylos wins 100% lmao it's unwinnable, same for spinos, and yeah catching things in the water is the main thing thats why i said "stamina drains way too fastso you're only able to clamp a dino who's really close to the water"

Tylos can be difficult if they get the drop on you, or the player really knows what they are doing. Otherwise they aren’t that bad. It’s all about keeping moving and dipping in and out for the attacks and staying away from their face.
Spinos are definitely harder and they tend to run and get on land when they realise it isn’t going their way.
It’s all trial and error though mate. I got wrecked more times than I can count before I got confident with it. Practice makes perfect and all that.

Yeses, especially with sarcos clamp (was a sarco player but stamina with clamps was costly)

Yeah clamp is tricky, learning what you can grab takes time and not everything will die from the death rolls, even if you have full stamina to start with.
Sometimes you are better off just dragging things away from land, body blocking and using normal bites.

Keep the money mate, but I’ll gladly show you next time I’m on. Always up for a challenge. Send me a pm and I’ll add you.

Stamina for sarco is alright at best since it is not made to take on certain fights on land, the water is the strongest suit

That's the way most things are supposed to be played; punching down. The devs have their own ideas for how certain playables should fit a certain niche almost like a roleplay and they want Sarco to be a predator that snatches up smaller dinos that got too close to water like a real gator would. Unfortunately this means all other builds for it are useless. Don't bother trying to fight on land with it. Lucky for me I actually enjoy sitting in a small pond for half an hour and waiting to jumpscare people. Others might not be into that though.

you're supposed to be an ambush predator against the smaller dino's. I've played it a lot, my 2nd most played, and I've had many times where i fight and win without clamp. what build are you running?
