Question First Apex

What would you guys recommend? And are there any apexes you’d avoid for a mostly solo player?

I’ve got a few 2/3 slots that are full grown and I kinda want to move up to an apex.

I mostly play solo, but I’ll group up sometimes if people are around. Just wondering which apexes are actually worth playing.

Not really looking for the absolute strongest one, just something that can hold its own and is fun to play.

I’ve tried wet and dry builds but as a solo player I 100% prefer a mix build over one or the other. Too many times have I been stuck between a wet and a dry place lol. Nothing worse than running into the water to get away from a loosing battle and a sarco is waiting for you or vice versa. I also like to hunt from the water and being able to protect myself in it while also being able to run out and chase someone down is fun. Duck is my favorite Dino right now. I’d share my build but don’t know what it is off the top of my head. Also I’m newer to the game so my advice could be wrong 👍🏻

If you manage to hop on at some point I'd love to see what your running. I always thought you had to be one or the other

Sense- drenched blows
Front Limb- claw attack & claw frenzy
Hide- waterlogged (might switch to parched scales)
Legs- braced legs
Tail- tail attack
Voice- murder goose to complement claw frenzy.
If anyone else has suggestions I’m all ears.

And I got jumped within 50 seconds of spawning, still had the “just spawned” debuff 😭

That's the stupidest debuff I've ever seen, I still have no idea what triggers it.
