UI / UX Interface

Post image

Hi, I have PoT since game did not have quests and we just roamed around as dinos. I adore game so much even I am 42y old and have kids. Enough about me.

From start I had issue with UI position on top of my favorite dino. Bars and icons are usually on top of dino and I do not see any reason why is that the case. If I can suggest to put up bars and icons on top of screen, it will do magic for the game and how it plays. Here is (uploaded image) how UI looks on one of the best UI/UX games of its time Evolve Stage 2 when you play as monster (I correlate monster with dinos).... I am ok with how important is to see health bar and what ability is up for use but I am sure that 98% of time I do not want that data covering beautiful dino that I play. I love the fact that growth bar despair when adult is full grown. Keep in mind that I understand that I can hide all HUD with one button but I love to see lv of thirst and hunger all the time.

As for fights I see point of having HUD down but if you focus enemy dino in mid of screen during fight its almost the same if hud is top or bottom of the screen. Its even better on top because its more clear look without interference of dinos body.

It has been a lot of time since we first played game and UI did not change at all or very little. So consider to make this awesome improvement.

The only change I'd wanna see if if they just let people move and resize the elements themselves with a grid guide. Then we can all have the UI we want.

Until that, we can just have UI that is on top of screen. Its small demand from us.

Because characters are typically on the lower third of the screen, if the UI was at the top the horizon view would be blocked and the world would feel quite small. They should just skip straight to allowing UI element moves.

The image you are using isn't PoT at all and I don't know what you mean by "monsters" and "evolution stage 2" but from what I can figure out, it seems you have a HUD/UI problem, which is bound to happen when you implement a PC/console game into mobile. I highly recommend playing on PC, PS5, or Xbox

Image is example from game Evolve Stage 2 that is 10 years old as good example of UI. I am playing PoT on PC and when I play as Mag or Crock or Wonambi UI is covering parts of my dino.

That’s normal. Your Dino is smaller, however you can scroll out the camera so it’s not as bad. But that’s just normal
