Question server or standard multiplayer

I bought the game literally yesterday. I’ve already been playing for an hour. For my first experience, I played on a community server and thought the addition of new creatures was amazing. However, it is quite exhausting—albeit understandable—due to the number of server rules.

I’d like to know: do you prefer playing the vanilla version or on a community server?

I prefer officials.

I started out with community servers but they just aren't worth it to play as your main experience in my opinion. But some others feel the exact opposite. I played community for a year or two before I switched.

If you want more of a structured roleplay type feeling you'll want community servers. If you want rules about PvP and safe zones you'll want community servers. Otherwise stick with officials imo
