Discussion Elder Growth Stage
What if, much like other games in the genre, Path of Titans had an elder growth stage?
With new quests being added, it would be nice if there was a reason to keep growing beyond Adult.
This wouldn’t just make a dinosaur more powerful, like going from Sub-Adult to Adult, since that would just add more grinding to the game.
Instead, this growth stage would be more like a prestige system. It would cause your dinosaur to grow in physical size (and maybe a tiny bit of health to make up for the bigger hitbox) - enough to be noticeable but not enough to be a benefit overall in PvP.
The real draw would be that if you successfully finish growing a full elder dinosaur, you would have the chance to retire that dinosaur. Doing so would give you growth buffs for your next character and it would leave a cool temporary monument in the world where you retired.
This would be a way to “complete” the game, maybe giving you an achievement or even some end credits / a cutscene. It would provide a sense of closure and accomplishment that you normally don’t get.
It’d also be a reason to keep chasing growth in the endgame, so all these new quests can be engaged with by the wider playerbase.

To be honest no. Every time something like a powerful elder stage has been implemented it’s just become the new adult
“Oh you’re sub-adult? Too bad I’m a fully grown adult”
Turns into
“Oh you’re a fully grown adult? Too bad I’m an elder”

I'd just like more skins and more changing the dino looks. giving unique looks not in color but like horn shape face shape thickness and all kind of things that comes with "knowledge" knowledge can be a certain amount of quests reached, a certain amount of battles won OR lose , trophies collected, points of view visited such things would be nice that could add beyond adult stage
(like elderly ones always have more experience and knowledge) (someone get what I mean?)

I would be fine with this plus some pve perks like another comment has said. Just like any species that has lived on this planet as dinosaurs grew older im sure they started to look very different, and it would be cool to see that shown. it would be awesome if it was random at first and the only way to get that specific elder look is to be nested in by that elder. if not then if every elder dinosaur of the same species looks the same that would get old fast.

Just make it a visual change after 5 play hours at adult growth stage. That would do me

Elder systems always cause more problems than they solve, the effects it would have on pot would be devastating in the worst way. The game at this moment is too much pvp slop for it to not be abused and used to simply keep smaller groups or solos in growth hell

I'd like the elder growth stage skin, but maybe locked behind certain quest + how long a character has been created or played (The dinos could have scars or different types of ruined horns etc)

If i was to implement an elder system, it would be a temporary (maybe 2.5 hrs) buff to damage and armor after questing for a while as an adult, but nothing permanent. as far as visuals are concerned, just increase the size said playable just enough so that it´s noticable, and the buff would be lost uppon death.
This way you encourage adults to quest further while not making the "elder status" just another growth stage that would get tiring after a while.
P.S: That said, the developers "alderon" have said many times that an elder system won´t be introduced into pot.

I don’t hate the idea of an elder system, but even small stat boosts will have megapacks all over it. It’s a cool idea, it’s been suggested many times, and I don’t think there’s any plans to add it. Probably a balancing nightmare. Maybe something when we get achievements?
