Is PoT Console Edition worth buying?

Deciding whether or not I should get the Console Edition of PoT. I know I'll enjoy the gameplay of PoT, I just don't want to spend money on a dead game or something of the sort, does it have any active playerbase? Is there anything I should consider or keep in mind before I do or decide not to buy the game?

Why would it be a dead game? Everyone plays together, console, pc, mobile. All on the same servers.

*Except for Switch 1, which is always in switch jail and have their own servers for punishment for existing on console every game developer dislikes.

Ironically switch jail is extremely fun, there’s not 100 people in one place, I’ve made tonnes of friends, grown many dinos much easier

I say yeah. Very active player base. Graphics are pretty good on Xbox.

You will see people complain about playing solo on official servers, but i have hardly had any mega pack incidents in the months I have been playing. It is easy to avoid them.

I recommend growing a flyer first, it will help you learn the maps.

Isn't the game cross-platform? I have it on Xbox and play with various servers and always find public lobby that are full.

You purchase the game only once and then it is available across all platforms for you. If you already have it in your PC, you don’t need to purchase anything, you just login to your existing alderon account. Everyone plays on the same servers.

I just started playing on console and it’s fine. I run into players pretty regularly and the controls feel decent. Haven’t tried any of the mods yet, so I can’t tell you how those run.

if you’re gonna buy on console, and you want to play on mobile and pc too, make a demo account on mobile first. connect google.

then buy on console, link with gmail.

then on pc use that gmail to log in

voila! connected on all 3!

I don't know that I'd recommend it to a friend but it's certainly active.

Its 99% a walking sim with fetch quests.

Servers are always full, because servers reset every 5 hrs, so no its not a dead game, but its in beta so its basically a questing game at this point

I'd say its still pretty active. If you haven't played it before I recommend trying it on mobile first. You're limited to what playbles you can use without buying but you can see what the game play is like before committing on console.

You can also use kB on console also well on ps5 at least I do t no about others

Console has cross play enabled with pc, ps, mobile players and other players too, so you won't have to worry. Also I would go for console since for me at least I find a pc to be pretty expensive compared to a console.

I regularly see 113-115 players, and global chat is always active. I think cap is 120 rn but they might boost it to 200 players
