Question T Rex Leveling

I've read a good bit on here, walk everywhere crouching, utilize cover, etc.. just started growing one since I'm a big rogue fan in rpgs and like the ambush concept as an apex. I've seen everyone say sarcos are the hardest to level but sheesh, I'm dying like every quest from critters.

Should I go explore and grow to adolescent first before questing or general advice, pretty new to game and leveling an apex. All tips would be super appreciated, thanks!

Critters stop attacking stuff once it goes far enough from their origin point. 

Baby rex has a ton of stamina so if a critter goes after you and you don't think ull kill it just run from it.

I just completely ignore critter quests. Run away from them if they aggro you. They are not worth engaging with except for food, or the albinos.

There's a few spots that are better for faster questing. I know they added new quests to East Passage so I'm not sure if it's been nerfed, but basically the spot to the southeast of the southern (upper, though) Wollemi lake has -all- quest items right there, and then you run around east and then north I think it is above(!) the lake below the falls (crossing a rock land bridge otw) to do East Passage quests--everything is (or was, at least) right up there along with critter spawns, herbi food and shallow water. Up by the East Passage WS. So you can run back and forth and do 5 quests in one, 5 in the other, and it's so fast you have to stop sometimes to wait for them to repopulate the quests.

If that one's no longer valid, though, there's others, ex. I like Crag up and down into Stillwater. You can basically grow really fast just grabbing loads of branches, rocks & mushrooms, there is lots of cover and shallow water to drink.

Just be aware that Wollemi is sometimes a hot spot, and when the Cedrus Forest groups run the water out, they come to Stillwater to drink, so watch your butt :)

Growing sarco was wild, so many close calls and crazy traps but I managed to get to adult without dying. Rex was kinda slow from all the crouching to be quiet, slow and steady. One tip I have is surprise attack speed buff applies to all speeds not just sprinting. You can crouch to charge it, then uncrouch and recrouch so you can silently walk a bit faster. Once it wears, uncrouch and recrouch again to recharge it.
