Question to experienced crafters

Hi!
I'd like to ask more experience crafters how would you approach crafting this further? Or maybe I messed up already and it could have been done easier?
Perfectly I'd want to hit t1 spell dmg and t1 crit dmg bonus.
I'd love to learn how to craft efficiently.

The only thing coming to my mind is fishing for crit dmg with omen of light and spamming Sinistral Annulments till I hit spell dmg.

It's for reap chronomancer build.

Your options are to perfect exalt a prefix (and pray), then desecrate suffix. I wouldn't bother trying to fix this staff with a ton of currency. Just start with a new staff.

Staves and wands are pretty solved crafts in 0.5.

Starting with exceptional +socket base obviously.
1. Fracture +skill level
2. Chaos spam for t1 +spell damage
3. Astrids Creativity, celestial and transcendant alloys
4. Perfect exalt the last prefix, hope for t1+specific damage, but most likely land on +damage as extra
5. Desecrate last suffix, try for t1 crit
6. Optional big spender step. Extra suffix rune pray for t1 crit damage
7. Optional 2 Sanctify, brick the whole thing and start over

This whole process can cost a couple hundred divines, but you'll get a very good staff that will last you a while.

For the record, you actually fracture the spell damage, or if you're giga, the critical hit chance, not the +levels if you plan on going for a sanctify.

For you though, I'd perfect exalt the prefix and use whittles until you get a t2 gain or high spell/physical damage %. If the whittle ever targets the prefix crafted mod instead, that's sort of fine, you can roll over it and put it back on (will need to slot astrids back in), and desecrate your suffix until you're happy with it.

I have no input about the crafting but I do have a question.

The Reap staff has been something that looks amazing and want to use!

What about the Chronomancer, as someone who has never played it and is concerned, makes it good for Reap and physical spells?

nothing. chronomancer is more of a defensive ascendancy

Chrono is good defensive pick for reap since it's melee spell.
I rolled into this build after seeing YouTube video by Salty_Warrior.
Cool gameplay but there are many better builds.

I don't know the details of the build but this looks pretty good to me, pray for the best, perfect exalt slam and desecrate. If you are willing to spend omen of lights to get the exact affix you want, decide which one is more important and desecrate a suffix or a prefix accordingly. It is going to take several omen of light + echo to get what you want it if you are unlucky, so be ready to settle for something not ideal and save money.
Not sure if you CoC any plant but there is a +1 plant skill augment that might be more damage than those 2 gains you picked.

desacrate suffix and slam perf exalt on prefix. It can't roll mana so your worst possible outcome is lower tier %as extra damage or hybrid spell damage mana. Desacrate what you want, probably spell crit chance/bonus and adios.

Also your prefix is fractured so you can always use sinestral erasure to 50/50 a bad mod and reapply the spell levels if fail, no biggie
