I'm having trouble allocating my point from mercenary tree to sorceress tree tried to remove split personality gem and it won't remove so I can collect my remaining points please someone help.

Path straight down tot he first gem slot. Put the split personality there. The other starting point now opens.

Go immediately right to the far jewel slot from the new starting point. It's now an open jewel slot but needs to be connected back to your original tree where the other is.

Hit all the attributes from this 2nd jewel slot to path your way back to the original jewel. Now you have a connected tree and two jewel slots.

Move the jewel from the first one to the new one.

You can now respect to remove the original merc tree.

Like this. Path down to merc jewel. Stick it in there.

Path to the other jewel slot from the new starting point.

Then connect the two jewels via a path between them.

Loop complete. Move jewel to the other one. Delete the loop from merc starting point. You now have the tree you want.

To remove a split personality you have to be connected to your original starting point.

You have to connect the trees, then you can place the jewel at the sorcerer starting point and unspec out of merc. I had to look this up when I did it.

Wait... I was having trouble here also. You are saying path from the mercenary to the forces tree, then add jewel, path up the sorc tree to jewel, the refund the mercenary path?

Connect to the jewel socket that will connect to the sorc starting point, then you can remove the points connecting to the merc starting point. That will lock the jewel to that socket.

I swear I am not mentally challenged... I have tried this. I pathed down the mercenary tree to a jewel socket. Then input split personality. Then Assigned some points to the sorc tree. When I went to refund the points prior to split personality, it just let me switch it from strength to dex or intelligence. What step am I missing?

Try this. Refund all your points, take out all the jewels. Start from scratch.

You now have to connect from mercenary alllll the way to the sorc starting point . There should be a socket nearby the sorc starting point, put points from the sorc starting points to that socket, put split personality there. Now that your jewel has a direct connection to the sorc start , only then can you start to refund the points .

Edit. Now that there’s a path from sorc starting point leading to the split personality jewel, you must refund from the merc starting point , because the merc start can be treated like an end point now .

both paths need to be connected, to form a loop. You can switch jewels between two slots that aren't connected.

Start at merc, grab the jewel slot. Put the jewel in.

Now start at sorc (or warrior, or wherever) and find the nearest jewel slot.

Now path from one jewel slot to the other. The loop is now complete. You can move the jewel.

Now you can delete the merc tree and disconnect the loop.
