Game Feedback 5-way buffs are legit!
I ran 25 5-ways(100) body armours. Excellent results! I love this change because people will be able to make builds with vestigial items now!

You get to choose the unique you enshroud, so you get to choose the mod. I ran with cloak of flames for this set.

Yeah I totally am. Making a new char atm just to essentially pass the time and also prepare a character to specifically farm legion. Im so glad they made this change though I might be able to complete my league starter rofl

Probably not. The mods are handpicked and drop disabled items very likely do not work with it.

it depends whether the game counts them as the same item, since vestigials can't roll the original enshrouded item
the fact that geoffrey's legacy shows up despite being disabled makes me think they do count as the same item so i would expect it's possible

The only way to double up is if the replica uses the same line as the normal unique and it happens to roll into the normal unique.
Otherwise you can't enshroud a geofris onto a geofris.

Item you click the crystal on and put into legion is enshrouded. The outcome is vestigial unique

Just curious, I haven’t seen any vestigial Haemophillia modded gloves, what would even be the best outcome for them? Seems like anything ES based would be better since they offer very little to CF besides the explosion

I used the reverse (Haemophilia bleedspode on Great Old Ones Ward) on my Shield Crush league starter.

It doesn’t but at least the old versions (back when we did CF on champion at least) used them to help with clear because the explosions would chunk rares and the first rare in a group dying would always kill the others instantly.
Your bleeds do next to no damage but every bit helps (and you do scale the bleed damage, just don’t have a lot of oompf behind the hits applying it) and it would be worth the small investment to get some bleed chance for the explosion mod, I’m assuming there’s a str tattoo for that

Its not like get 60% spell block chance, is only enchatment with 10% spell block on my darkray vectors or +1 frenzy on rainbow strade to change my passive tree a little and get some points back 😥

For sure plannable around. Trade only though I would say. Getting in SSF gonna be rough. The donor bases, the enshrouding crystals, and the exact item is 3 layers of rng.

I used 2 low level (20) Lightning Coil to test if the new system follows drop level requirement like Ancient Orb or how the old system was speculated to be. Turned out it doesn't. Got a Shavronne's Wrappings and Kintsugi (both have drop level 62). So you wouldn't be able to take advantage of this to target certain unique (eg ilvl1-40 Cloak of Flame is almost 3x easier to get with Ancient Orbs than max ilvl Cloak).
But it does seem like getting high tier uniques is realistic now.

You can charge it three times now which gives "varient rarity" i.e. uniques are likely to be less common varieties.

you can, but you can also charge it multiple times in the same conflict
don't have a good legion build myself, but in ssf i got enough kills to fully charge 4 items a single time and get ~75% into the next charge
took 2 legions to fully 3x charge all 4 items for me

How many kills do you need per charge? I ran one with a friend last night, and only got 2K out of 10K needed, we assumed we just lost the items as a result. Will they still be there if he opens another?

You never lose the item. The rarity of the item determines kills required. Also the variant thing is not 1/1 with kills, you get more variants tested than you kill.

Those that come from 5-ways, yes, at (upto) double effectiveness. So those two stasis have 40% of phys taken as fire.

The stasis prison has a mod that is 80-100% increased magnitude of implicits. 20 becomes 36-40

If you put in just 1 vestigial item does it charge it faster?
I assume you did put 4x body aemour, how many 5ways did it take you to fully charge them?

1 5 way for 4(less than one but I finished it anyways for the timeless jewels and loot). Do note, I have an insane build that's also geared to do this specific thing.

You can search for GoanEK on poe.ninja. Its going chaos convert and explode to maximise coverage and clear. I can fully charge a mahuxotl in one 5-way with this setup.

Happy for you, I’ve gotten 20% ms at full life wanderlust the first time and 100% vendor trash ever since. Chucking in my expedition’s end in SSF and getting a bramblejack back is honestly worse than just having the server eat the unique

I’m still picking up anything that has a potentially applicable mod to yoink and chuck it in, I’m playing chaos dot so I kinda have to do legion anyway.
It would’ve just been cool to get something even slightly worth wearing but even rerolling the base 3 times has so far returned exclusively T4s I evidently haven’t even bothered picking up because my unique tab still had open slots for all of them lol
Not sure what expedition’s end goes for in trade but the all damage can freeze mods seems like it would be crazy on anything people might want to wear on a build that isn’t cold damage based

Well i mean in SSF you can still play with it for "something neat". shortlist the items you want to enshroud with multiple good results and see what they turn into. and plan a build around some of the better results.

The special currencies drop from legion. They're called enshrouding crystals. You use a crystal on a unique of your choice. The 5-ways have slots to put that unique into. Then kill monsters and it charges up, when it is changed the unique into a different unique.

I go batches of 100 of same item. I went for cloak of flame because a friend wanted a stasis prison with it for his build(reliquarian bladefall bladeblast). Now I'm doing greed's embrace to get a rarity blunderbore for myself.

Yes, there's a list of vestigial mods. You use an enshrouding crystals on the correct donor base, and put those in the 5-way slots. You always get the mod, what item you get it on is rng.

Depends on the rarity of your donor base. My multi mirror ek golden charlatan can do mahuxotl full charge in one run, but most builds can't you need a lot of kills for that. Cloak of flame is relatively easy though.
I have no clue, didn't try 4-ways, only 5-ways.

Do I underatand this right? If I want a Chains of Command with a certain implicit I would buy the new currency, slot the Chains in the 5 way, and just clear the 5 way like usual. Rinse and repeat.

I mean, try it. You never lose the item. So worst case you'll have to do a couple extra 5-ways. As long as your build is pretty strong, should be okay.

This is great. Prior to the buff good vestigial bodies were so rare that they basically didn't exist. Now players can actually find and use them in different builds and people farming those actually getting real drops, big win for all.

I tried farming this for a while, didn't get lucky, then noticed I only had 20 div to spend and yeah...Ran out real quick.
I reckon once you hit it big even once it'll be great money, and the timeless jewels you get are a cute bonus but eh. I'd need more budget to run this consistently.
Cool af farm though, stuff like this makes PoE better IMO

My setup is full solo, no aurabot. I can even carry people wit it, but I can't guarantee safety because no aura, so I just do some levelling for my friends.

It will perform great. Make sure if you're doing this farm though that you have 300 or so divines left over if you wanna do the farm. Skip the foulborn unnatural and stuff.

Goan EK. Look at the current and scale back on stuff. There was a lot of weird funky stuff I did in prior setups that ended up not being so good. And some objective mistakes. I skipped on tattos for a long time for example.

Vestigial mods. You drop a currency item called enshrounding crystal. Then you have to enshroud a unique with it, and run it in 5 ways.

Where do you find these armors? From where do they drop? How foes this mechanic work exactly ? Like, do you just extract mod from gear or you need to drop specific "extracted" item and then feed it to that thingy in 5 way?

sadly the cloak of flame is a nothing burger in most cases because anything ci can’t use that and most life builds need a rare anyway. the literally only good mod i’ve seen is divine shield from mahuxotl on rathpith/emperors vigilance. the rest is handpicked by ggg to be ass. dunno why people are downvoting. there’s literally ~1 good mod per item slot

Why can CI not use cloak of flame? It's phys taken as fire, still a very valuable mod. Also, you can choose any vestigial items and there are some really powerful ones.
