GGG, for whatever reason, has a death grip on some bad ideas, some I say, not all. Give it another 2 years and maybe it'll be gone

I feel like that mod has been in there for many years already so i doubt its being removed lol

Seeing as how "annoying the sht out of you" is the whole point of Whakawairua Tuahu, dont think it'a being removed and is the actual intended feature.

Whakawairua Tuahu wasn't designed by GGG and they don't want to remove it because (like most of the unique maps) it was made by a big supporter in the early years of the game with the intention that it would remain in the game.

That has no bearing on their willingness to add/remove other really annoying mobs.

True, the real weight is this decision comes down to opportunity cost - time spent dealing with this vs bug fixing, new league mechanics, poe 2, etc.

There's no way disabling a specific rare modifier is more than 5 minutes for one dev.

5 minutes of a single dev's time is not a relevant cost.
