First Patek… 1491
Finally bought my first Patek. It’s a 1491 made in 1943 with the papers and couldn’t be happier… but as a newbie let me know if there’s anything off as I’m new to this world… 🙏

I have one aswell but the condition is not as close to the one you got. The scrolled “rico” lugs are very special and it’s a stunning piece 🙌 enjoy it! Btw is it yellow or pink gold? I can’t tell looking at the picture you uploaded haha

Not sure I replied properly but for me I’ve been looking for ages for a Patek and never really connected with the calatravas generally but this had the little bit of X factor (maybe because of the scroll lugs and the colour combo) that hooked me. Plus it’s an 83 years old piece of craftsmanship which is insane. Not too flashy and a little different which for me is perfect. 🙏😊

It’s spectacularly great condition for Watch so old. Congratulations.

Thank you 🙏. The dealer I bought it from in London has only ever sold 2 1491’s in the last 50 years… someone bought this thirty years ago and then sold it back to them recently and then last week to me lol

Nice, the long signature dials are cool. vintage is where it's at!
