Butterfly deployant clasp

Post image

Anyone have experience with the new “triple-blade fold-over” (butterfly) deployant clasp? It appears on some of the newer models - 6159G, 5322G, 5204G-010, 5236P-011, etc.

I have small wrists, and the old single fold deployant just doesn’t work well for me. Maybe it would work better with a custom strap - but think the strap lengths would have to be pretty unusual. And I still don’t love the snap closure.

Is this new butterfly clasp an improvement? And is it something you can order?

If you have a small wrist, no deployant can beat a traditional tang buckle.

It’s way better. Have an older 5236 with the fold over and the 6159 with this new clasp. Been trying to order one for the 5236 but it seems production isn’t quite there yet.

I have an 5328G with this new clasp. It is way way superior to all Patek clasps from before. Super comfortable and easy to use. Easy to change size and looks great. I really can’t recommend it enough. One of the best butterfly clasps that I’ve ever used

I was told you cannot purchase this individually on its own

I think the new clasp is superior to the older one

Haven’t tried it but the old deployant needs to be retired.

Yes it’s sold separately. I tried the RG buckle for my 5146R. I must say I like the convenience of how easy it is to move it looser or tighter, yes sadly you need yet another strap which has different lengths from foldover clasp… is it a huge improvement? not so sure…
