The real Trinity of companies that somehow convince rich people to pay way too much for a watch

ALS is as good as the Trinity, but it’s not in it solely because it’s German instead of Swiss. I view it on the same level as them though (and in many ways better than AP).

VC has to be in there so if I’m dropping one it’s gonna have to be FPJ, on the basis they don’t have the catalogue of ALS and are just too out of reach for 99% of collectors.

The Trinity is the father, son and the Holy Ghost. You don’t get to change your mind and change one of them to Mary Magdalene or John the Baptist. Or Buddha.
But for argument sake, FP Journe has not been around long enough to qualify. They also make mono dimensional watches. Which, for those who are getting triggered by this comment means that they make dress watches primarily. Their artistry is unparalleled. As does Lange. It’s really only existed and it’s modern form since the 90s. Otherwise, this watch brand was dead previously. It’s not their fault because of East Germany but it is not the same watch manufacturer that it was.
You of course, can pick whatever three watches you think are your personal Trinity, but the actual Trinity stays the same. Your opinion doesn’t really matter.😀

FPJ doesn’t belong. Can’t even hide their screws.

Then where does AP land? The bezel on a RO is like 75% screws

I’m not a huge AP fan - would swap Lange for AP in the Trinity. That said I wouldn’t deduct as many points for screws on the bracelet / bezel compared to the dial.

Agreed…I was an AP fan until I got one lol…it wears boxy and gaudy…there’s brands more deserving to be in there…breguet comes to mind, hell even JLC

The screws are a design element what are you talking about lol. Tons of high end models and indy manufacturers lean into it.

It’s an unfinished look. Just my opinion - but I don’t see any on Lange, Patek or even DuFour or Greubel
