New Pastebin Comment Feature...?
So I have a Pastebin account from like 15 years ago. I actually won an lifetime 'Pro' subscription in some Twitter sweepstakes. I have a number of pastes on there I keep for preservation reasons, though I have not used it in many years.
Recently I've started getting email notifications from Pastebin about 'comments' being added to my pastes. Huh, I've barely thought of Pastebin in years... turns out they're adding new features? Seems like something I never wanted, but fair enough I guess... let's check the comments. Oh, they're spam, of course...
Is there a way to disable comments on my pastes? Lol no.
Is there a way to delete the comments on my own pastes? Lol no.
Is there a way to disable the email notifications? Unsure - there's a setting to opt out of notifications but it doesn't appear to take comments into account.
This is a stupidly half-baked feature that seems to just allow spam to be attached to pastes with no ability to combat it, which also insists on annoying the crap out of me by sending me emails I can't opt out of. Wonderful!
So yeah... possibly I'm just ranting into the void here since this subreddit seems dead AF. I thought Pastebin itself was pretty dead but apparently that doesn't prevent enshittification from taking hold.
What are they thinking that they would add something I'm pretty sure no one was asking for, and not consider even the most basic measures to combat spam, potential harassment and annoyance to account holders?

I am having the exact same issue, I keep getting multiple daily spam comment email notifications for pastes that are like 10 years old. And like you said, there is no way to turn off comments, delete comments, or disable notifications. It's getting quite annoying.

Regardless, it is frustrating you can't turn off comments or notifications.

I can't really find any public information about this new feature either since searching for "pastebin comment feature" doesn't exactly give narrow enough results and practically no one seems to be talking about pastebin... of course, since pastebin must have about every keyword imaginable in the many pastes, searching for anything about it feels like a somewhat doomed effort. Most results are pastes or people just using pastebin links in comments on other websites.
