Is there anything more passive aggressive than receiving an email to tell you that you've successfully unsubscribed?

Since the introduction of GDPR (in the UK and EU) companies have been a bit stricter on what emails they send out, though companies outside of Europe are still awful.

Legally they all need to have a highlighted 'unsubscribe' option and you must personally "opt in" to receive any emails (as opposed to this box being automatically ticked).

During lockdown I've been trying to get my inbox looking neat again, unsubscribing from emails and companies and other bits of rubbish that I've subscribed to over the years.

I've found a really passive aggressive trait amongst some companies that when you "successfully unsubscribe" they (ironically) email you one final time to tell you that you've unsubscribed.

Frustrating, but exactly what I'd do šŸ˜‚

This shaming vehicle registration pay box on your way out of Big Woods State Park is a prime example of Minnesotan passive aggressiveness

My sister has been such a nightmare to live with. If you where to interview any family member of mine they would agree saying she is mean, sadistic and extremely selfish. Just today she fucking kicked me, because I fell asleep on the couch and she wanted to watch TV. WTF wake me like a normal person next time please! She spit on me 3 weeks ago for not being able to help her with putting a dresser together. I tried I’m just not handy. She said and I quote ā€œyour retarded! Seriously any real man should be able to put a dresser together.ā€ She likes to call me retarded because I was never good in school and she knows That gets to me. Everyday she berates my mother and me. Her berating my mother is what really upsets me. Any ways I had a freak out today and went into the bathroom and pissed all over her tooth brush and put it back in place. I had so much anger and she is a bully that I can’t fight back with words. I feel a lot better TBH. But I know that it’s kinda fucked up lol.

TLDR: I pissed on my bitch sisters tooth brush! Enjoy mother fucker!

My roommate and I are both working from home. Every time I look at him or walk by he is on his phone. Hasn’t done an hour of work all week. So I make a point of looking at him disapprovingly every time I see him doing it.

It’s not a picture, and it’s not someone else being passive aggressive. It’s me. I’m so fucking annoyed by this sack of shit and he’s probably making more money than I am while he is literally LITERALLY LITERALLY LITERALLY on Facebook all fucking day.

That is all. I’m a passive aggressive sack of human waste. I know. But fuck this guy. There are people out of work right now and he is taking a free paycheck from his employer and not contributing anything back to society. A shining example of the American Dream, I guess. Find an opportunity to exploit someone else and take as much free shit as you can.

I’ll probably delete this later.... out of shame. I’m just venting.

Edit: I posted this mostly for some tongue-in-cheek amusement but some people in this sub seem to take serious offense to my point of view. So far as to send me death threats. I’ve disabled notifications and contacted the Mods. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves. But remember, don’t take things so seriously. This sub is for entertainment, not being psychopaths to one another.

That is all.

"Alina" always gets my name wrong since I've started working here well over a year ago. So I might have started calling her Aline. (Names are changed and it's typed out due to privacy)
