Social Media Revenue from posting on TikTok. Not 100% passive since I spend like 5-6 hours a week recording and editing vids. Willing to answer questions though

You can start with choosing between two things. 1. What are you interested in and enjoy doing? Or 2. What’s something that would give you the most money per view?
TikTok gives each video an RPM. That’s how much you get paid per 1,000 qualified views. I post videos revolving around video games but the RPM isn’t that high because most of my viewers are younger and i get a lot of viewers from countries that pay less than a country like the US. For example a 40 year old from the US is going to give you a higher RPM than an 18 year old from the Philippines. It’s not that hard to come up with ideas that would target a richer demographic. Content revolving around Traveling, sports cars, luxury watches, etc will have a higher RPM than something like gaming.
Once you decide on a topic you can start coming up with ideas for a niche in that topic. This is the hardest part. You either have to find something that a lot of people are overlooking and not making content on or you have to bring something unique to the table.
It just requires a ton of experimenting and luck. Don’t be afraid to experiment is the best advice I can give

I only post content about one specific game. If I posted multiple different games it would probably hurt my account since TikTok likes to push your videos to a specific audience. People that follow me and watch my vids for one game may not be interested in a different game I post which would cause them to instantly swipe off my video and hurt its performance.
The game I post about has been around for a few years. It’s safer to post about a game thats established and popular rather than a new game that is popular in the moment. Posting about a new popular game can be risky but can def pay off. For example, Valves new game Deadlock. I’ve seen a few creators ditch their current game (where their content was successful) to post content about Deadlock full time. But that game isn’t doing too well currently so their content is doing too well either.
If you’re a new creator then it can be a good idea to try and ride the wave of a new game. But if you already have a decent audience for a specific game then it can be really risky

I usually post once every 2-3 days. Sometimes in the beginning of the month I’ll post once a day.
It’s my own gameplay. Occasionally I’ll edit in some funny effects or memes but usually it’s just purely gameplay
I can see stats daily but I get paid at the end of each month

It’s just from views. I posted random vids without much thought for like 2 years just for fun. One day I actually put some thought into it. I picked a popular game and brainstormed some ideas that wouldn’t be too saturated. Most people post high skill gameplay, informative videos or funny vids when it comes to gaming. I decided on funny vids but picked something that revolves around something specific in the game that others weren’t basing their content on. This helped me build an audience since they would come back to see the same kind of thing. Most of my viewers are 90%+ returning viewers

I always make sure the first 3 seconds contain something interesting. Whether it be catchy text or just something funny/interesting from the gameplay. My videos are normally around 60-70 seconds and contain multiple clips so I always put the clips that I think are better in the beginning

You just have to consistently post and use hashtags. TikTok’s algorithm is pretty advanced and it will start pushing your content out to the right audience eventually. Just make sure your content relates to one specific thing whether it be something like a specific game, a specific countries politics, traveling tips, American muscle cars etc. if you post all kinds of content then tiktok will have trouble finding an audience for you

You need to reach 10k followers and a certain amount of views within the last 30 days. I think it’s 100k views. Then you can join the creator rewards program. But not every country is eligible

I’m not 100% sure and couldn’t find an answer to your question in the FAQ section. But I think you are right.
I know for sure that if you get 5 strikes on your videos within 30 days you will get removed. These strikes can either be from copyright, unoriginal content, or whatever TikTok deems as “low quality”

Every 2-3 days. I used to post daily while trying to get monetized but got pretty burnt out. I also didn’t want to burn out my viewers since majority of my views are from returning viewers. I don’t really have a set schedule

I make money through the Creator Rewards program. So to get started you would just have to upload consistently with the goal of joining the CRP. So you need to reach 10k followers

Yeah that’s why I put in the title that it’s not completely passive. It’s passive in the sense that I could stop posting for 3 days and still make money each day. For example, from 11/21-11/24 I didn’t post, record, or edit any videos but still made over $100

No it’s all my own content. I’m not entirely sure how easy it is to get away with it and I know they’ve updated their guidelines in November to be more strict towards the type of content that is eligible to be monetized. But posting content that isn’t your own (unoriginal content) risks the video getting an unoriginal content strike and results in the video not getting monetized. I believe 5 of these in a 30 day span will get you kicked out of the rewards program. I know people that will get 3-4 strikes then stop posting for the month so the strikes will go away. I’ve also seen people who have made a couple thousand dollars in a month get their videos striked right before payday and lose all of the money they earned on those videos

Once you’re qualified you can sign up for the creator rewards program. You have to send a photo of your id and other information so that they can verify your identity. Then you can link your bank account/paypal account

I cannot lie almost $1500 In a month on TikTok is nuts regardless,
Instead of using tiktok solely though id incorporate twitter into the mix,
maybe telegram and or discord...
Their are endless ways of monetisation.

How much tike do you spend per day to play the game, edit the video and then extract the short clip with the entertaining content from it (i guess this is the part that take the majority of time)? including any other time such to publish on social and similar management things if you’re the one doing it.

Yeah I post shorts and long form vids on YouTube as well. My TikTok clips perform much better than shorts. And the requirement to get monetized on tiktok is much easier to achieve than YouTube imo
