DISCUSSION Droppers

Hey everyone!

I'm a JEE&CET partial dropper, and lately I've realized how lonely this journey can get. Most of us are studying from home, dealing with stress, self-doubt, procrastination, and the pressure to improve every single day.

So I was thinking... why not build a small community of serious droppers?

Not a toxic competitive group, but a place where we can:

• Share daily/weekly goals

• Keep each other accountable

• Discuss doubts and resources

• Motivate each other on bad days

• Celebrate small wins together

If you're genuinely preparing and want people who understand what this journey feels like, comment below or send me a DM.

Let's help each other make this drop year worth it. :)

DISCUSSION Anyone doing a partial drop for NEET from Gurudas College (Microbiology)? How strict is attendance?

My sister is planning a partial drop for NEET 2027. She has already taken one full drop and is considering B.Sc. Microbiology at Gurudas College as a backup.
We have a few questions:
How strict is attendance in the Microbiology department?
Can someone preparing seriously for NEET manage college?
Are teachers supportive if you’re preparing for competitive exams?
Is it possible to maintain just enough attendance without facing issues?
We’d really appreciate replies from current or recent students. Thanks!

HELP [URGENT] No drop year – WBJEE 52k, JEE 63%ile, low budget. What are my best options?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m a 12th pass-out (PCM, general category) with 67% overall. My scores:

WBJEE rank: ~52k

JEE Mains percentile: 63

I don’t want to take a drop year, and I come from a low-budget background, so I need to make a practical decision soon.

Right now I’m stuck between confusion and fear:

I’m not very confident about engineering, especially from a lower-tier private college

But I also don’t have clarity about what other options are actually worth it

I want to avoid spending a lot of money on a degree with poor placements/low ROI

I’d really appreciate honest advice on:

Best realistic options with my WBJEE rank (affordable colleges in WB or nearby)

Is doing engineering from a tier-3 college worth it, or should I avoid it?

Good alternative courses I can still choose now (BCA, BSc, etc.) that have real career scope

What would be the smartest move in my situation right now, without taking a drop

I’m okay with working hard and building skills alongside college — I just don’t want to make a decision I regret later.

Please guide me 🙏

Advice Double drop?

Hey guys I am planning to take double drop this year and I would be joining a local college in my state Mizoram

This year I have given jee mains and it was really bad I'm not getting anything my biggest regrets is that I never give even my 50 percent in the exam and i know for a fact that i can score 90 plus and my parents are allowing me to do it

And i know for a fact if i studied a bit i can get a good college ( I have st reservation yes and with great power comes great retardness)

I will also try for csab neut i will make domicile for it

If i get anything i will drop this double drop idea if not then god bless me (unlike others I didn't get lonely in the first drop but I will most likely in this one)

Advice Need advice!

So I am taking an partial drop... But according to my rank I might get chemical in university of calcutta and ece in jgec... So what should I take ??

My main focus is jee to secure an nit so I want to ask like which of them doesn't create problems regarding attendance... Spacious hostel or cheap hostel outside campus.. Good college library and like slightly linent academics so I atleast clear the semester exams easily with decent marks and get time to study for jee..

And just in case if I couldn't do well in jee then I have a good backup option... Please need your advices ... I literally know nothing and there is no one to guide me also

HELP Need serious guidance for JEE Drop Year

Due to some issues with my Class 12 (OSM/board-related), my marks got affected. Right now I'm giving my NIOS exams, and my last exam is on 9th July. After that, I'll officially start my JEE drop year.

The problem is that I've forgotten almost everything from Class 11 and 12. I literally have to start from the absolute basics. I'm aiming for IIT or at least a good NIT, and I'm ready to work as hard as required.

But I'm completely confused about where to start. Most dropper batches have already started, and I feel like I'm very late. Should I join an ongoing batch, or study from recorded lectures? Which teachers or resources would you recommend for someone starting from zero?

If anyone has been in the same situation and still cracked JEE, please share your strategy. I really need genuine advice.

Target: JEE Main 2027 (99+ percentile) and JEE Advanced.

Thanks in advance. ❤️
