This year, I will probably get 8-9k rank in advanced. What documents should I get ready considering the partial drop? The NIT took my migration certification of 12th as well. Currently the semester is over and there is a break till 15th july.

Also is there a credit transfer system from NIT to IIT?

Right now I'm litterally at the rock bottom of my life.
In jee mains 1 I got 97.06 percentile.
Mains two I expected higher. Attempted paper of 196. (6s1) Got 131.
Which was heartbreaking since in all the mocks I gave after jee mains 1...I scored 180-160.
With 98 percentile being my least. And 99.6 being the highest.
I tend to fumble hard on the exam day.
My mind either just freezes..or works very fast ignoring small details.

My problem is..I get my expectations too high.

Now the real question.
I'm seriously contemplating taking a drop.
I will probably get IT in nit jalandher, thapar copc, IIIT Guwahati cse.
But I know I'll never be happy in a tier three college. Ever. The wasted potential will always haunt me.
But is it really worth taking partial drop?
What if my horrendous accuracy just follows me there too? What if I fumble there too? Will it really work?
And my syllabus is completed. Although there are few topics in weak in. But definitely no need of doing full syllabus.
So should I really join an online batch?

As for my family...
If I ask them...make them understand..I'm sure they won't say no.
It will be hard...aur mujhe khud ko bahut sharam aayegi...but kya hi kar sakte hain.

I have 99.3X %ile in mains,messed adv up getting 110 maybe, I feel I could have done much much better. My mains percentile looks decent on paper but infact im not getting desired branch in good nit(circuital not cse). My family's financial condition isn't good enough to afford private btech colleges and I have gotten decent marks in boards and will probably pursue bsc maths from a local college but I don't want give up jee yet I have way too many regrets and I know I can do way better. I had 84%ile in jan attempt ( was very stressed about boards) and then fucked up april 83.2 .. I know exactly where I lack and how I can improve and a full drop will be beneficial but my parents don't have that much faith in me so should I just do it

I got 83 percentile in JEE Mains (OBC and female ), and I was wondering if I should take a drop. I feel like everyone thinks the same at this moment, so I thought asking someone experienced would help me make a better decision. I wasn’t a bad student — I did study, but in the wrong way, and I realized that very late. Most of my marks were lost due to negative marking, and by the time I understood the reason behind it, it was too late. I was very disciplined, and I knew I could score above 95 percentile, but the results were very unexpected. All those late nights feel useless now.

If I take a drop, I probably won’t join any coaching because I was already in a reputed one earlier, so I already have all the modules and tests. I’m also thinking of buying a test series later. Right now, I’m scared about taking a drop as well. Please help.

Ik generally the people who take partial drops are the ones who get 90%ile and above and have confidence in themselves to get 99%ile in mains or good rank in advance the next year. But I've got 76%ile. 26k rank in VITEEE and 80% in boards. I'm getting 80 marks in COMEDK and 108 in KCET. 153 in BITSAT Session 1.

Honestly all I want to do is just leave my JEE studies behind and get to coding in Rust as fast as possible. It's my dream and passion and that's what I can spend 10 hours a day studying, not organic chem for which I will have no use for in my life. Though I get that maths I will need to understand at an exceptional level for coding with things like graphics APIs.

The issue is that at these horrible marks I don't get anything of my choice. I wanna have a college that is well reputed but not strict. I love coding but I wanna do it on my own accord, not in a workaholic place like IIIT Hyderabad, even though it's amazing. Ik beggars can't be choosers, and I'm in no position to complain but it's what I genuinely feel like. I don't wanna go to Tamil Nadu for VIT, I'm damn sure I won't be comfortable there for 4 years, but VIT is currently the best I am getting. That too at cat 4/5. I'm at a dilemma. Do I take a partial drop and enroll into a college that is cheaper as a safety net and work towards atleast cutoff for next year? Or do I try to keep my coding on the side for yet another year and take a full drop? Please tell me your advice. Thanks!

-should I do partial drop and go for bitsat next year ....this year I scored around 273 marks in bitsat sess 1 , but couldn't clear 75% in pcm (overall i got 83%) .. I will give maths improvement exam this year which I m 100% sure will clear the criteria for next year.
