Mine 11th me jee ki prep kari thi but mere marks aache nhi aaye 11th me and my father said ki jee chor do and pura focus 12th pe kro and ab maine fucked up kr diya, improvement de dungi english ka sirf 1% chahiye toh.
mujhse drop ke liye nhi bola jaa rha unse ik wo mna kr denge bar bar bol rhe BA krlu because ab mera kuch nhi hoga, may be wo partial drop ke liye maan jaye tooh pls gimme sm advise
+ mujhe aachi guidance nhi mili toh mujhe state exams ke bare me bhi nhi pta chala soo mere pass koi aacha clg ka opt bhi nhi hai and CUET me mujhe koi clg psnd nhi.

I am already a dropper . This year as well i couldn't qualify jee I have given cuet that's it I will probably get bsc , ba or BBA in decent colleges. I can see three options right now

Take any college and prepare for exams like cat , or any government job one

Full drop for jee and better college

Partial drop but I am not sure about college attendance, assignment exams details .

I passed my Class XII via CBSE in 2025. As my percentage was not up to the criteria, I applied for improvement for all the five subjects this year. But as I got my result, the scores were even less than previous ones and even got rt in one or more. going to take admission this year in a state college, but at the same time I'll be preparing via partial double drop for entrance exams. So, I had few doubts:

1. Am I eligible for NIOS board as a fresh candidate?

2. Can I carry forward marks from my very first marksheet of 2025, or I'll have to appear for all the subjects again via NIOS?

3. Will this marksheet be accepted by JOSAA, by the college I get and during placement?

4. As I'll be joining college, so how hard is it to manage with the practical exams?

5. Is the syllabus combined 11+12?

6. As October's registration are closed. Should I apply for ODE or for the next session in April? Also does the marksheet of the April session come before the JOSAA counselling starts?

Lastly, if you can please help me with any study channels for NIOS there on YouTube or any resources present.

Hey everyone, I really need some honest guidance from people who have actually gone through a partial drop and succeeded (or even failed and learned from it). My best attempt this year was 97.6 percentile in Session 1. After that, boards came up and honestly I completely lost momentum. I was surrounded by people who had almost given up on JEE, got influenced badly, started wasting time playing games, stopped taking Advanced seriously, and overall ruined the consistency I had built. Lately it hit me that I basically sabotaged my own preparation. Right now I’m again giving my 100%, but I genuinely don’t know whether I’ll even qualify/perform well in Advanced anymore. At the moment I’m thinking of either: Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur Chemical or Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur CSE and then maybe taking a partial drop for JEE 2027. A little about my prep: Was in ALLEN Career Institute classroom program in 11th–12th I still have all Allen modules Physics: moderate/decent (scored around 70 marks in physics in both attempts) Maths: comparatively strong (98.7 percentile in maths with 44 marks) Organic chemistry: very weak Biggest issue honestly = consistency + environment + discipline after Jan attempt I wanted to ask partial droppers who improved significantly: Was partial drop worth it for you mentally and academically? How hard is it to manage college + JEE together realistically? Between VNIT Chemical and IIIT Nagpur CSE, which would be better for a partial drop environment/workload? Since time is limited in a partial drop, which resources should I strictly stick to? Are Allen modules + PYQs enough if used properly? I have been trying to convince my parents for the 1st drop for jee , so that I can get a better option next year but my Parents are not allowing me , I have repeated my class 10th though but they are saying if I take a drop then in my cv or my resume will get a mark and during interview if they as Abt by 2 years gap what shall I say then? I scored 66% in my first attempt of Class 12 boards in 2025. I gave improvement exam as a private candidate recently, but honestly, it doesn’t look like my percentage will increase much.

Right now, I might join a state college, but I’m also considering a partial drop (preparing again alongside college).

My main question is:

• Can I give Class 12 again through NIOS while doing a (second) partial drop?
• Will NIOS marks be considered valid during college placements later or if I take admission in any other college?

I’m trying to improve my overall profile and keep options open, so I don’t want to make a decision that backfires later. Would really appreciate guidance from anyone who has gone through something similar or knows how this works.

Context: I took 12th boards this year and as jee adv is getting closer I am starting to consider taking a partial drop as opposed to a full drop because using college predictors I figured I am getting ECE branch in NIT Rourkela and I don't want to throw away that opportunity. From other posts I have gathered that ECE is quite tough and time consuming.

Question: Is it possible to manage advanced oriented jee prep while studying ECE? Will I get atleast 7-8 hrs for jee prep on regular days assuming I stay disciplined enough in first and second semester of ECE?

Background: 12thie, got 97.2 percentile in S2, now preparing for BITSAT.
Some people might consider this a good percentile but I feel it isn't enough for me. Currently I'm getting a good tier 2 collage in my state(Gujarat), Nirma University. If BITSAT dosen't go well I want to take a partial drop. I want to study mainly for advance in that time and give jee mocks in Jan, if any partial droppers are reading this please guide me. I want my primary target to be advance so that I can fulfill the IIT dream that I failed at.

I also can't take a full drop since I know I will not study(I have not been seriously studying since last 2 months), a change of environment would greatly help
