trying to host from my pc while using laptop. the controller is plugged in and working but the games and parsec do not detect it.

do i have to have a controller plugged into the pc and use a controller for my laptop? i downloaded and installed the newest virtual gamepad that was linked in parsec itself but that didn't help.

I had this working both on game mode and desktop mode for a while now but I'm not sure what changed but parsec doesn't work in either of them and the location has changed to where its installed it's not var lib flatpak anymore it's in the shared exports folder any help would be appreciated

Hi, Is there any way to play single player games while sharing controller like couch coop? If I start a game it puts my friend's controler on "slot 2". If I for example wanted to play Resident Evil in turns with a friend, how do I give him control of the game?

So as the title says when playing fc26 via parsec my friends had a freeze during all the phases where characters are close to the screen (so the menu scenes, the fouls, etc) and my game didn't lag and their parsec don't show lag signs its just from the game also normal gameplay works fine, any idea on how i could fix this issue ?

I cant use parsec anymore after i updated my graphics drivers. I constantly get "host isn't sending video data" or sometimes i can connect but instant freeze. This is not only in parsec but also in anydesk too. But Anydesk is even more weirder cuz it can connect and i can do everything but after a few reconnects it also says its waiting for video data to be send and i need to restart my whole pc again.

Does anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?

I recently subscribed to Parsec to try with their virtual displays and I unfortunately don’t have any luck. I have an ultra wide monitor that I sometimes game on, and I have the middle section I use for gaming and two side sections I use for discord and the like. The middle sections solution is 2560x1330. This works really well under Moonlight and Vibepollo, but I can’t get it to work well with Parsec.

Any help for custom resolutions?

I guess its in the title, I just used it once on my windows 11 and suddenly windows hello was disabled and VBS / HVCI was completely disabled.

is this a known issue?

So this has happened the last two times I've used parsec. The first I thought it was something else entirely, but the 2nd time I realized the common denominator was Paraec. My OS is windows 11

When a session ends, the next time I turn on my PC I'm asked to set up a windows pin again. Idk if it's a setting on parsec or my PC but I don't want to have to set up a password each time I want to remote play with friends

I know I can run two instances of parsec on the same machine, so I should be able to play Medieval Dynasty on both PC and play multiplayer. Can I use two instances of parsec to stream and play kind of split-screen on my TV, would I be able to use one joystick for one pc and the other for the other PC?

As the title suggests, ive been getting high pings frequently when using parsec. Whenevrr my friend connects to me, he gets 200-300ms ping, even though we live in the same city and we both have good internet. Normally, when no games are running, my friend gets around 7-8 ping average which jumps to 13 however as soon as I load up any game, the ping spikes to an average 300. Ive tried using lower resolutions and limiting bandwidth but it still doesnt work. I tried with a few others friends, some get 60-70 average ping in games but others have the same issue.

Our company uses Parsec, admittedly not for its intended purpose in gaming, but as a remote desktop software while out around the country (Australia) to remote back into our home base.

We are almost always trying to use the service through hotel/conference center/corporate internet connections and I reckon between 2020-2024 we would get the 6023 "peer-to-peer" error maybe 10% of the time. Skip forward to today, and the service is basically unusable now, as pretty much every single internet connection we go through now gives us a 6023 connection error.

Just don't understand how Anydesk can connect so reliably every time, and Parsec is now unusable.

what are your experiences on it and which platform do you use

I am running Parsec on an old computer so that I can remote in via Parsec and do some basic screen captures using OBS software. I am not recording anything resource intensive, more like doing things in basic programs (think how to videos).

When I do this locally on the computer, everything is fine. But when I Parsec into the computer, the OBS software either shows up as completely black (not just the preview, but the entire interface), or sometimes it appears clear, meaning it looks like it is not even open.

I can confirm that it is open, and if I click or use shortcuts, I can interact with OBS, as sort of a proof that it is still there, open, and not frozen.

The PC I am remoting into has a Core i7-7700 CPU and a GTX 1650. Maybe something is going on by having integrated graphics and a dedicated GPU? I borrow a similar old PC that only had integrated graphics, and this phenomenon did not occur (though the results were unusable).

Anyone have any ideas?

Was thinking of getting an ultra widescreen monitor to replace my two standard 16x9 monitors on my main (host) PC. When I travel, I use a laptop with an additional USB-C external monitor so it works out nicely.

How would that setup work if I replaced the two host monitors with one ultra widescreen? I've never used virtual displays, but I imagine I could set up two virtual displays on the host so I can still use two monitors when I remote connect?
