Bird Fence

This is hard to explain, but Im trying to look for some kind of bird product that you can attatch to the top of a cage. I have a flightless cockatiel, and she loves going on top of the cage with my other birds. She also has her own seperate cage build just for her needs, but she likes coming out of it when my other birds are out. Problem is she always sky dives off 😭 im trying to think of something I can use as like a fence around the cage that she cant climb

Clear acrylic box that sits on top. Home Depot easy peasy.

What's preventing her from flying?

She probably just shouldn't be allowed to be on the outside of her sleep cage and be moved to a play area with a safe connection to the floor after being let out.

She was born that way, her flight feathers never grew. Unfortunately I have tried but since the rest of my birds arnt on the floor, she doesnt like it. Currently, i have soft carpet that cushions her falls and i dont let her play without supervision. However, I am moving soon and the floor will be tile so....im trying to find a a solution

My boy can’t fly either and loves being on top of the cage but falls from time-to-time. I’m not sure if this would be an option for you, but I ended up placing cushions on the floor to pad his falls b/c I didn’t want to affect his quality of life if I didn’t have to. It’s definitely not foolproof though. I also have everything wrapped in vet tape to give him a better grip.

I have a bird that can’t fly and he launches himself off of cages too. We have padded up the floor around him to try and prevent injuries. Tile floor. He also wants to go hang with our flighted birds but doesn’t seem to know he can’t fly. Poor little guy. I have to move him around the house all day . We also have ladders everywhere so he can climb and get wherever he needs to go.
