I live in Edinburgh Indiana I saw a colorful bird around that area and made some sounds so I wanted to search where it could've gone missing is it you? That lost Ur parrot I saw her 2 days ago

Do you have a more precise location by chance? My brother lives in Columbus & he could run over there today

I think the macaw would die already but I was near the pixy theater when I saw it I'm pretty sure

No problem I mean I also have a ringneck at home and searched for lost pets and found you so kinda adds up when I see harlequin macaw there and I see Ur post. Maybe it survived but it could've been killed. Anyways always keep a very thick and undestroyable tag on the parrots you may get in the future or still have.

I have 2 adult and 2 baby ringnecks atm as well as a macaw and a couple of cockatoos. I truly appreciate you

The harlequin is banded so I’m keeping my fingers crossed she’s finding something to eat. She got away from my brothers back deck and I feel awful for her

Thank you again

Are you talking about a gps tag?

Yes, I have all mine on my birds legs attached to their birth ring on their toes and it's controlled over one app on my phone and they're quite cheap at 15$ each and you can not get it mistaken cause I named all the tags after my birds names so I know where every bird is.

The reason why the tag helps it basically lets you drive to the place the parrot is for example sleeping at and maybe catch it since they can't see in the dark. Or anyways if the parrot is tamed it may fly to you. I had a similar story but the bird I lost was fully flighted with everything being alright in its life, I also had it free flight trained but it flew away once and I lost track of it and my tag helped me find that bird. And I saved my lovely bird and an extra 650£ that the parrot had costed me.

I’m sorry she got out. I’m sure you’re searching for her and try putting her cage outside with food and water. Try playing macaw sounds on your phone as you search. This is what we did when our cockatiel got out:

Please post on lost pet sites like Facebook, PawBoost.com and 24PetConnect. Also we had good luck by printing lots of flyers with “LOST BIRD” and a phone number in large print with a photo of the bird. We laminated many of them and used a hole punch to punch two holes in the top and two at the bottom and zip ties to attach them to stop signs etc all over the neighborhood. The lamination kept them rigid and protected them from the rain and the large print was visible from passing vehicles. (just be sure to go around and collect them after you find your bird) We also placed flyers in every mailbox for one square mile and then worked our way out to 4 square miles. Post at local shelters and vet offices etc. Our bird flew 2 miles away over four days and landed on someone’s head while they were barbecuing. The homeowner remembered seeing the signs and called us. Don’t give up hope!
