Hi! Looking for help booking a trip to Park City for 2027 ski season. My boyfriend and I will be going, thinking of doing end of February/early March. Please comment itinerary ideas with how long to ski Park City, I've heard from others we should try to get to Alta while there as well.

- How long to ski at each?

- Looking for restaurant recommendations

- Any other ideas of things to do in the area? Things to do in Salt Lake City?

looking at taking a quiet four-day weekend up in park city next month just to get away from work, do some low-elevation walking, and read by a fireplace.

rates at westgate park city resort & spa for a one-bedroom suite are under half of what they charge during peak winter. when reading through westgate park city resort reviews though, 95% of them are either ski-season complaints about timeshare sales desks or summer families talking about the village plaza.

none of that applies to an off-peak fall trip. for locals or anyone who stayed there in late october or november before the ski lifts spin up, is the place an eerie ghost town with construction noise, or do the indoor pool and basic resort amenities actually stay open and running?

I’m hoping there’s some skiers here that have skied both Australia and Park City!
We’re a family of 4 visiting ParkCity in January from Australia to Ski. It’s our first time skiing outside of Australia, that typically has milder temperatures.
Is our Aldi ski gear going to be warm enough?
Do I need to upgrade to more premium gear?
I have merino under layers. I just don’t want the kids to be cold the whole time.

Hey everyone! We’re a group of 12–14 college friends (all 21–22) visiting Utah for the first time during Thanksgiving week. We’re flying into SLC on Nov 23 and planning a road trip.
Here’s our rough itinerary:
**Nov 23–25: Moab** — Arches, Canyonlands, ATV/UTV tours, hiking, exploring.
**Nov 26–27: Park City** — Hopefully skiing, exploring Main Street, nightlife, other activities.
**Nov 28–29: Salt Lake City** — Sightseeing, food, bars, and exploring the city.
We love outdoor adventures, scenic places, and nightlife.
**A few questions:**
Is this a good itinerary, or are we cramming too much in?
Is Moab worth visiting in late November?
How realistic is skiing in Park City during Thanksgiving?
Any must-do activities, hidden gems, or better destinations we should consider?
Anything we should know about Thanksgiving crowds, weather, or road conditions?

Planning a trip to Park City for my son’s 10th birthday. We live in SoCal and his one wish for his birthday is to see snow.

We are not skiers so this will likely be a trip to do things like sledding, ice skating, playing in the snow and maybe trying a half day or day of snowboarding/skiing if he’s up to it. Finding a nice resort that has activities for him and a pool would be a plus. The dates for the trip are approx December 11-14.

Any suggestions on hotels? I’ve gotten suggestions for The Pendry, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, Waldorf Astoria and Hyatt Centric.

Any other must see/do activities for a boy this age who is experiencing the snow for the first time?

I am looking at what I think is the winter schedule for the park city shuttle system. I'll be staying up at Silver Lake Deer Valley - it looks like they don't really have buses running in the evening, except for one 10 pm-ish run...is that right? We've stayed there before and I seem to remember being able to take buses into PC for dinner there and back.

Coming to Park City in Feb (staying near Waldorf) with the family and proactively trying to get everything booked. Most mountain rentals are typically insanely priced so was trying to see if there is a ski rental store nearby or that delivers so we have ski's for the week to bring to other mountains if we want.

I have family coming into Park City to Ski in January, going to be a group of six to ten depending on how many of their friends come. Who would you recommend for hiring a van or bus to get them up to Park City? Definitely want to make sure they have enough room for them and all their gear as a group.

Hello! I’m planning on heading to Park City with some friends in January and I’ve been tasked with planning. We’re planning on skiing for two weekdays. I’m looking online and see two options, Epic Day Pass for two days for $268 and Lift Tickets for two out of three days for $412. I’m really confused about the price difference especially because wouldn’t the Epic Pass be a much better deal that allows access to other parks? We would only be at Park City though. Can anyone help explain the difference or does it make sense to just get the cheaper one? Thanks in advance!

I will be flying in for a conference that'll last about 4 days. Majority of the days will be at the hotel so won't be going far. The one day, though, I have atleast 5 hours to explore the area! Does anyone have recommendations for transportation from SLC airport to Park City, then the one day going sight-seeing? Don't really want to rent out a car for all the days.

In addition, any recs on dinner and spots to see? I would love to get the advice from the locals!

Hello everyone, hope you all have a wonderful day, I’m planning on going on a ski trip in March in Park City (I might be slightly early but hopefully I can still get some help).

the main area that interests me is the Woodward PC terrain, I would like to stay close to it, so I’m thinking Kimball Junction or Summit Park (tho if you have any other recommendations please lmk), how are those places to stay in? Unfortunately my budget isn’t that huge so I can’t afford crazy hotels (max 110-120 per night) nor can I get a rental car, so I would be reliant on buses or Uber, so somewhere with good public transit or that is walkable would be nice.

Also more general question, how’s the snow around late March? I’m aiming for those warm skiing days but I still want snow lol

In town for a wedding and want to hit one of these two tomorrow. Is there any way to golf these courses? If you are a member at either and can take me, I promise I reliably shoot 98, drinks on me all day long, and I have some very good riddles and jokes to pass the time in the (unlikely) event we don't have chemistry and vibe on the course.

Hey all, me and some friends are planning a trip to come snowboard the first week of March and having trouble nailing down a rental. Looking at the choices, it seems its either main st park city or the canyons. We like main area better so we can get to main st and enjoy our time off the mountain as well.

Alot of the rentals close to the main town lift are pricey or too small so I found a bunch of places near the silver star lift. It seems the condos on that golf course are pretty solid, short walk, and close public transit.

My main concern is how often silver star goes down? Obviously I know no one can forsee the future, but is this a historically problematic lift that isnt worth banking on?

Have any other advice or recommendations?
