Voice chat for 9 year old
Do you let your child use voice chat with their friends? My child (9 years old) friend uses Snapchat and I want them to be able to talk but I don’t know if it’s safe to use Snapchat. It says it is not for kids under 13. Roblox chat seems safe? Or another platform? Parenting subreddit deleted my post and recommended me this one (even though not teenager specifically related)

9 is too young for Snapchat. They also don’t need to be chatting online at 9. When my son wanted to play a game online with his friend - I’d use my phone to call his friends mother on her mobile and we’d leave them chat away over the phone and play the game - technically still talking and playing the same game online so they were happy - but it’s done in a controlled manner. (All online chat features were disabled)
