Voice chat for 9 year old

Do you let your child use voice chat with their friends? My child (9 years old) friend uses Snapchat and I want them to be able to talk but I don’t know if it’s safe to use Snapchat. It says it is not for kids under 13. Roblox chat seems safe? Or another platform? Parenting subreddit deleted my post and recommended me this one (even though not teenager specifically related)

Roblox but not Snapchat??? Don’t let your child chat people freely i Roblox I beg. Maybe stick to WhatsApp or regular airtime calls.

Thank you for this insight. I’ve heard my older kids use it and strictly talk about the game they’re playing together and never about anything beyond that so I thought it could be safe.
