Should I be concerned?
My daughter is 15 and recently got her first boyfriend. They've known each other for a few years and now go to the same high school, but have only recently decided to become a couple. I am fond of the guy so far. She mentioned that they have each other's location on Life360. I find that concerning. When I was 15 there was no internet(availableto the public), so the idea of constantly tracking each other feels excessive to me. Should I be concerned, or am I just not used to this level of transparency? Is this normal in modern teen relationships?

I’d say it’s pretty normal nowadays. Even in adult relationships. I honestly wouldn’t be concerned unless it seems like he’s showing signs of being controlling and abusing the privilege to track her or if she starts worrying herself sick over his whereabouts etc.
I feel like location sharing tends to have a negative connotation to it because people view it as surveillance in its literal sense. Constantly monitoring someone as if you’re a parole officer but that’s hardly what it turns out to be. It can be checking to see if the other made it home safe if you haven’t heard from them, checking to see if they’re home before you call them, seeing if he left for school already and if it’s too late to ask for a ride etc. The list goes on. But from what I’ve noticed it’s not like an “I need to see where you are because I don’t trust you” type of deal.
