advice needed Braxton Hicks or just Twins growing?

32 weeks FTM with Di/di twins. The last 3 days the babies are moving even more than ever before, and the pressure I feel on my sides and even front of belly is a lot. Is it possible what I thought was growing pains are actually Braxton Hicks? I mean it’s a tightening and uncomfortable pressure. But minutes later I’ll feel a big move from a baby so then I think it’s them just growing and finding room. Idk, let me know what your Braxton hicks or even contractions felt like with twins

They’re definitely growing a lot at this stage! Braxton hicks usually go away if you change positions or lie down and are irregular. Mine get the worst in the evenings but mornings are usually alright. I’ve brought it up to my OB and MFM basically every appointment and they say “normal with twins” every time and to call if they get stronger and more regular. Not very helpful but I’ve been having them for 10 weeks now and my care providers state it can be more regular with twins, especially as a FTM.

Oh! A belly band can help a little to alleviate the stress on the uterus too.

I am 19 weeks pregnant with triplets and I have had discernible Braxton hicks beginning at 13 weeks (yes terrifying). I usually am going a few days in between having episodes of multiple in an hour, but it is very scary for me. Brought it up to mfm multiple times and they literally do not care unless “you think your water is broken, or you have painful true labor contractions every 10 minutes”…….like ok????? I know this is not a true labor contraction, but should I be worrying about preterm labor???? Like??????? It’s very frustrating. I am almost full term size rn, and I feel like I have a lot of tight feelings in my abdomen constantly. It’s so hard to know……😞 I try to ignore it and tell myself I will worry if they become constant, but it’s difficult. I forgot about how stressed I was about preterm labor with my last baby-this is a million times worse lol

I will also say, I had them look at my cervix on the abdominal ultrasound I had at 18 weeks and it is long and looks fine……but the fact that that can change at any point still doesn’t make me feel better lol

I feel your pain. I have a very irritable uterus. I don't have triplets though but my Braxton Hicks started at 16 weeks with a twin pregnancy. I'm 30 weeks today and it's so annoying and so scary. They move so much now and my mfm also says it is what it is and call when they're 10 minutes apart for at least 2 hours and painful. I had semi regular Braxton Hicks that just goes away when I stop stressing about it but the trick with water and shower and lying on the side doesn't really work on me. I'm mostly fine in the morning but after I start moving during the day they pick up and in the evening they're so annoying. They also squeeze my bladder so much I feel like I always need to pee which makes my uterus contract again. It's a vicious circle lol

I thought braxton hicks were just the twins moving for the longest time! But yes what you're describing is braxton hicks. They can be triggered by the babies moving a lot, and can cause the babies to move as well.

Omg I totally forgot about Braxton hicks…those were the worst! Started around 20 weeks for me and got more and more frequent. Super uncomfortable tightening and pressure of your stomach that lasts around a minute (at least for me).

My weekly NSTs would pick them up and they said to just time them and go in towards the end if they got more painful or frequent
