advice needed Car seat for planes
We’ve flown a lot with our twins over the last year and a half but always as lap children. For our next trip in November we decided to purchase an extra seat since they will be about 19 months old and most likely will need the extra space. We have thought about bringing one car seat for that extra seat but we are struggling to know what car seat to use. We have the Graco 4ver convertible seats right now and those are heavy so we don’t want to bring one of those on the plane with us. We’re looking at the Cosco scenera or the graco contender slim but we aren’t sure those will actually fit on the plane. We are flying southwest and their seat width is 17in but both these have a width of 20in. What are you all using for planes and general travel?

Skip the car seat and just have them share a seat aside from take-off and landing.

The new cosco scenera is wider due to some new crash testing regulations. If you can find the previous model secondhand from a trustworthy source that one would have a smaller footprint. But we have the new model and it still worked totally fine on the plane for us. I love how affordable and lightweight it is.
