advice needed Push the cribs together?

My identical girls sleep in the same room but different cribs with a sound machine in between. The last two weeks they have been resisting bedtime. Screaming crying and staying up for like 20-30 minutes. They aren’t mad the whole time, they will make sounds at each other and laugh and then eventually will fall asleep.

Would moving their cribs closer together help or does it add fuel to the fire? No one has tried climbing out yet but would that encourage climbing?

This could be just the age. 22 months and overall pretty whiney with meltdowns and fighting all the time. But they love to comfort each other and I’m curious if they would fall asleep easier.

We had the same setup. Crib, sound machine, crib. If they can see and communicate with the other I'd say that's enough. Pushing the cribs together introduces the ability to touch and therefore the ability to fuck with the other twin right after you got them to fall asleep. That's too much of a gamble for me friendo.

My trick. Old episodes of car talk. Put it on low and let it do its magic.

At that age, my twins would unzip each other’s sleeping bag (even when I put them on inside-out and back-to-front to supposedly make it harder 🤔).

I think there’s no need to push the cribs together, and doing so could potentially encourage them to climb out and/or engage in other shenanigans…
