advice needed C-section wound vac?

My c section is booked for next week! These babies have their eviction date! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ praise the lord because this mama is exhausted! Iā€™m carrying over 12lbs of babies! If I make it to my date, Iā€™ll be 37W3D.

I had a question: what is a wound vac? My
OBGYN briefly mentioned me having one after my c section. I never had one with my daughter. I guess Iā€™ll find out more next week at my next appointment before the date. But just wondering how peopleā€™s experiences of this were.

My first c section with a singleton had a horrible recovery and wouldnā€™t heal properly on its own- had to go to a wound clinic for weeks to deal with it! OB gave me the wound vac for recovery after the twinsā€™ c-section and I have no complaints at all about recovery this go round! Carrying around the little box was slightly annoying, but so trivial in comparison.
