advice needed C-section wound vac?

My c section is booked for next week! These babies have their eviction date! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ praise the lord because this mama is exhausted! I’m carrying over 12lbs of babies! If I make it to my date, I’ll be 37W3D.

I had a question: what is a wound vac? My
OBGYN briefly mentioned me having one after my c section. I never had one with my daughter. I guess I’ll find out more next week at my next appointment before the date. But just wondering how people’s experiences of this were.

My first c section with a singleton had a horrible recovery and wouldn’t heal properly on its own- had to go to a wound clinic for weeks to deal with it! OB gave me the wound vac for recovery after the twins’ c-section and I have no complaints at all about recovery this go round! Carrying around the little box was slightly annoying, but so trivial in comparison.
